Good Morning Marmy!
You are in for a real treat with today's video! Storytime with my MOM: coming to Canada in the 80s! She shares her story about the first day she arrived and her experiences over the first two weeks. I heard many of these stories for the first time. Have you ever asked your parents about their major life change moments? If you haven't, I suggest you do it! I learned some new things!
Did you ever make a major move to another country? What's something you remember about your experience?

I swear, I could listen to your mom talk forever 😅❤
Also the photo with your parents reminded me of a picture I saw with my grandparents when they first vacationed to the US...absolutely beautiful
I love these story times!! Could you please do more of these? And some with your dad, too?
That would be fun!
Wonderful! Your mom is precious!
Tina, your Mom is just as authentic, warm, and bright as you are. This video is classic. Thank you for sharing highlights from your life story. Much appreciation to your mother for demonstrating resilience and grace time after time.
I’m 💯 agree with aunty! I dressed up for errands for the first year when I landed here.. after all these years, now I have same clothes for errands, wfh everything 😀
My experience coming from Guyana was almost exact. I came in 86' and I dropped in NYC and never moved 🤦🏽♀️
That was so endearing and adorable... thank you so much for sharing and thanks to your mom! It's so important to share these stories I think so that even those of us who haven't been immigrants in our lifetime can appreciate what immigrants all over the world experience
Such a great story to hear from your mother, Tina. A lot of good laughs from it too, haha. The throwback photo of your parents in their younger days, though. Can't help but to love seeing that :)
Aunty Ji reminds me of my own experience in 1999. For me it was not jogging, it was swimming. I was walled out of the pool. I was 14.
your mom and you are so cute together and the ,pictures of the younger singhs whoa cuties....the only thing is trying to figure out who looks like whom....either way it was cute and nice to hear how far they have come/
This was so interesting. I wish my grandma was still alive to ask about that she came to America from Italy in the 60s. My dad had told me some funny stories though
Someone had to teach me the shower too!
Mom is the Best!
It is almost scary to watch and listen to how honest she is...
Your mom is so darn cute !!
Tina I enjoy your stories and yours
Amazing swaad a gaya
Hi, tina hope you are doing fine, can you please make more videos like this, and let us know what were the hardships your parents faced in the corporate life; like what were the struggles they faced when they were actually becoming totally independent: moving to their own house, buying a house, getting things in place like i meant to say all the actual hardships of an -immigrant-. Ps i just started watching your vlogs, you are a very charming personality totally different from lilly, but that’s what makes you different love love. Keep vlogging keep shinning.
Lots of lots of sunshine to you.♥️
Your moms love story with Canadian ice cream flavours is so cute. I dont think a lot of people understand how scary and difficult it can be to immigrate into a new country. My wife is from Venezuela and moved to Canada to begin a life with me. I saw and still see her struggle, even with my help. It was sad to hear your mother say she was afraid or embarrassed to ask questions of others and she is not alone in that fear. I hope people know most Canadians (myself included) would be happy to help answer any questions no matter how trivial and hope they enjoy calling Canada their new home ❤️
Yeah it takes a lot of courage to just pick up and move to a new place. This was in the 80’s but still.. she remembers those feelings!
Love your mom! And being the daughter of immigrants myself, I'm a sucker for these great immigrant stories.. :)
Loved loved loved it !!
This is soo good, do think of making a video, with Indian food cooking and ofcourse your mom 🤩😍
For me it was zebra cakes and pizza! It was so new I ate it for snack and lunch for 4 years... not knowing foods in America is as they say SAD
pretty tina!
Love your mom, she’s such a cutie! Great videos! Huge fan!!! Do a Punjabi blog with your mom!
Yup back in the day my family all shared one bedroom. And then someone helped my parents out and let them stay in ther house for free for 2 years
Love you guys 💙
When are we going to see the sister tag again with Lilly? :)
Thanks for video...
Your mom is cute😊
thank you for being subscribed for more than 4 years!
You are taking about old INDIA..time changed dear ...we jogg in joggers, we don't dressup too much to go to bank...lol...love from India
Of course ... she lived there before the 80’s - none of us have really gone back for longer than 2 weeks. Mom hasn’t been in years
Wow that is so amazing
I love listening to your mom tell stories. It's amazing how so many immigrants in Canada and US just had to figure out life and make a life for themselves without knowing the customs or even how a shower works. Amazing. Meanwhile, if the internet goes out we loose our shit 🤣🤣😂😂 We are apart of countries that are so diverse and it's beautiful to see. I only everyone saw the beauty in it.
Hi Tina - just so you know, people jog in India and around the world. I’m going on a limb to say, it’s probably not a Canadian thing! Let’s not generalise when talking about any country and our “perceptions” of it.
Yes of course I know that, I just meant “haven’t you seen people jog in India?”... sorry if it came across as a generalization
♡
Just wanted to know why did ur parents move to Canada ?
Like ur mom moved bcoz of marriage with ur dad but why did ur dad shift to Canada from India ?
Btw ur mom is so awesome and cute 🤗
New opportunities
@@TheTinaSingh oh yeah I thought the same !

Why is your mom's accent like south Asian despite living in the west for long time ?
Hello
