Battle Pirates: More Abomination Defenses + Detailed Layout!

  • Not many folks share PvP tips and tricks, well here I go (if you don't like it, don't watch). Feel free to leave a question or other constructive comments for players.
    Combination video, showing both replays/hits against my base and the layout. Interesting hits with both normal and speed-setup Abomination builds. This is NOT a perfect or invincible layout, but it give you ideas of where to get started. There are time stamps in the video which should allow you to jump around easily.
    In terms of base defense, I cover the general layout, the guard build, the heavy turrets I (and others) are using, how to use Power Transformers to get more base power, the use of Anti-Rocket turrets, equipment tactical modules, weaknesses of this layout, and share the base planner setup.

    Been waiting on this was about to ask you about it on the discord lmao. Good base you got here I switched from lunchers to morts and mongoose as I could not make lunchers really work. They are great and all and the new armors don't affect them. The ranges and also trying not to get snipped makes using them hard so morts just seemed like the right play.

      Yep, Morts can be good. They just don't appeal to my play style quite as much

    Also worth a try, move your Deci where your Warehouse in the corner is, put a mountain in near that moved Deci so it cant take a direct hit from attack fleet then angle your Deci to cover that corner towards your gates as much as possible...

    Thanks for posting your Base, and all the helpful explanations. For some time ago, I have my base very similar to yours. Your base is very strong. I just don't understand why some turrets and buildings have explosive and Missiles armor. And why anty-rocketes are still useful. Someone attacked my base today with 4 Abominations and 1 Exterminator and my base destroyed 4 and my fleet 1 Abomination !! I have all whith corrosive or 2 corrosive and one concusive Armor. Thanks

      Sure thing. Most of those armors are not really updated frequnetly. I think I put the explosive ones on when Basilisks, Warhound's side armor, and Hellswarms mortars all did explosive damage. I'd say corrosive (vs Abom) or Concussive (vs Exterm) are the best to go with today. Missile armors are for where Trenchers can snipe me so they don't even try

    Not sure whether you have the Splash Buffer covering your 3 gates, might help a little bit?

    Derpy what's your assessment of using 4 Decimators instead of using 4 Bathyal Depth Charge turrets defensively against Abominations?

      Both the turrets work. I think Decis are stronger if unstacked fleets. I use 5x Decimators, 2x Bathl, and 5x Launchers as you see. Lots of people like some morts as well. More short range is appealing to me

    HI again,,,, what's your take on the volcanic mortars? Seems like to me unless the attacking fleets are standing still they are useless. Volleys seems to miss any moving targets by a country mile....

      They can be good, but you need to run a high proj speed on them in post cases

    Hi Derpy. A off topic question, we got in FM chest ronin fleet and since i dont have it si better then nothing, u think is a good build? I dont wanna lose time for refit exept with tokens...

      I haven't looked at the build yet, I might see if I can pull it up later. Knowing Kixeye, it's probably a decent build but could be 1 or 2 easy changes. The only real use that ship has left is a TLC for the T10 Skirmish so you're right you don't want to do anything to it other than tokens.

    I placed this comment on your most recent video in the hopes that you can address it for me. I am retrofitting my Tiger Sharks and an I am on R4 and I can't start researching. Do I need the Phantom Tiger Shark to complete this? And if so how do I go about getting it?

      To be blunt, I would not bother with anything that low of a tier anymore. It isn't useful for anything

    I noticed that you have quite a few turrets with blanks on them. Is this because you cant use them due to not enough base power or no point since you cant install H-T transformer on it because 12 limit?

      Both. None of the non-heavy turrets are helpful anymore except for debuffs, and I need them as power transformers.

    Just a small thing: Instead of using Heavy ballistic shells on the launchers but you don't want smart warheads, Countermeasure targeting gives 40% accuracy without the "priority" buff. Otherwise, great base derpy. Will 100% catch off average hitters and even alot of good hitters.

      Make sure they are not overlapping am with anything. If they are moving, that’s why.
      If you mean not moving in battle, a syncdrive matches the slowest speed ship in the fleet. If you have one with 0 such as the overlord, that is 0

    aboms have splash scatter weapons, i thought evade on defense hulls don't reduce splash based damage? And still your defense hulls are packed with evade specials?

      That is left over from when attacking ships had weapons that evade worked with. Like the Harrower and Trencher

    U need longer channel and more turns that will slow them down tell they get alot of damage am trying that now in my base i think its working
