and they do so much more for the show; their in studio appearances, the songs, games and full bits they come up with and write are awesome as well. very few things are spur of the moment. they pitch and write most of the ball busting bits against themselves.

No they built nothing. All their products were simply rebranded products from other companies. The same goes for Yamaha. Here is how it worked, Westinghouse would do a contract with lets say Stevens arms, and they would simply sell Stevens shotguns under their brand name. They also bought companies that were already making products, and actually bought Stevens Arms. Then after buying Stevens Arms they did they same thing they did, they would sell the guns to other companies and those guns would be sold under that companies brand. For example the Stevens 520 was also sold as the Higgins 102.25. Higgins was owned by Sears. So it is real basic, companies would make things, and they would be sold under different names by different companies. That still happens today. The same company FoxCon make products for Apple, Microsoft, Google etc. FoxCon literally make the iphone and Android phones, and makes the XBOX and the Playstation. Things like Pizza boxes, fry boxes, napkins etc are made by a company that simply puts their design on it, and will make those items for different companies. The same company making supplies for McDonalds is making it for a lot of other businesses also. The same people making one brand of clothes is also making clothes for several other brands. Yes a lot of companies do make their own products, but a lot just source them out or rebrand other companies products. Just Google 'same product different company rebranded', and you will see just how many companies use the same exact products made by one company, and all the different companies simply rebrand that product for their store. They all have the same supplier.

When they call public access shows thats fine because they have solicited calls from anywhere, but private businesses and especially private citizens it is illegal to prank call them, unless you inform them prior to the call that you're doing it, thus eliminating the "prank" element.

Some of these are ok, but man, it sounds like the morning shows that were imitating Howard back in the early 2000's. Love him or hate him, I think Artie's suicide attempt changed Stern in a way that started leading away from the type of radio he had pretty much patented. His jealousy and anger towards the establishment was what attracted so many people to him in the 80s and 90s, but there was always that part of him that yearned to be on the other side of that wall. I do still listen from time to time, and for me personally, it's not funny, not having someone in the Jackie chair hurts the dynamic in the studio, and his interviews don't quite have the edge that they used to, though he is still one of the best interviewers around. But hey, it's Howard's show. F Jackie.
I agree, these suck compared to the pranks Richard and Sal were doing when they first started. and some of them seem staged. Maybe I'm just getting old.
Thing is, its NEVER been just Howard's show. Howard is just the puppet master. He pulled strings and collected amusing and great people and put it together. This is why the show is sad as it is today, because I dont even think Howard realizes or cares about it. Interviews would be cool, few and far between....the game shows and the people that would chime in or set in during interviews, like Jackie type days (I think Jackie's days were a lot of noise and talking in the high annoying fake voice).. but to me, Artie days were MAGICAL!!! Just MAGICAL moments, and relatable and just cool.....
I think the only think that could redeem the show these days, Jackie and Artie BOTH in studio and bring back some of the old writers and people.....Howard 100 news was absolutely genius and great.
So sad what the show turned into today...but with the craptastic "me too" movement nonsense, they would have Howard and all of them stung up, I imagine....sad...really sad when magical things that was as great as this show gets ruined.
Richard's French voice was great. And I hope Rusty survived that Godzilla attack.
