The wealth of emotions she puts into her lyrics and vocals is so insanely beyond her years. She is so incredible, I adore her work.
My favorite song by her ( hope you're ok) has some of the most heart wrenching, emotion filled lyrics I've ever heard in current music. She's so raw in her lyricism and storytelling, it's what I love about her

Olivia and Conan really are Taylor Swifts children, both having that amazing songwriting ability not to talk about stunning vocals! If you haven't already you should really react to some of Conan Gray´s music
Olivia is better at songwriting than Taylor, Taylor is very overhyped. Still fun but her lyrics are a bit more basic/juvenile
Also, just like with Billie, and Conan gray, don't forget for Billie her brother co writes on almost all songs. Producer/songwriter Dan nigro wrote many with Conan and Olivia and has produced some of finneas music.

Olivia fooled me!!! She sings the high notes so easily that it made me actually think her songs are easy to sing. Now here I am struggling so hard to sing Drivers License... I couldn't reach the highest note yet, and don't really know if I'll be able to, as a mezzo soprano singer.
Anyway, Olivia is just awesome.
You can hit the highest note in the song is E5 and you can hit it just keep practicing using the right techniques

The video feels like shes paying respects to how the media treated Britney by pushing her to a breakdown, laughed at her when it happened while.acting like they didnt contribute to it then praise her once her family started trafficking her. Honestly the bridge is so incredibly relatable at least for me the part "you can't love anyone cause that would mean you had a heart" ... Just awesomeness! Also you have to react to the live performance it won't disappoint you!!!
The build in this song is so cleverly done and I was so glad to hear you comment on it. From the first verse into the chorus, the second verse alone and then obviously the bridge and even the final chorus. The whole time you feel like you're being lifted on the sound and emotion, more and more each second. And whats so great about it is the build doesn't rely on the production/backing, yes it makes a difference, but as you said, she has so carefully used her voice to build. It gived the song such a 'getting closer to disaster or a cliff edge' feel and it's fantastic. Fits the theme of the song and takes your ears and emotions on a roller coaster ride. One of the beautiful things about music is the fact that it is two forms of storytelling marrying. The movement of sound and carefully placed words. Olivia uses both so well, particularly in 'vampire' and I was so excited to see you had done a reaction. Also, you are such a lovely person who brings a smile to our faces everytime you post. I first heard this song on the top 40 and when i tell u i was sobbing and swinging my legs i mean it. The goosebumps omg. And the idea of lyrics and everything being to do with describing him as a vampire is just so smart. She is an artist and i cant wait for my grandchildren to question why i like this when the new era is out. 😂 Ill never change my mind about olivia. A songwriting angel.❤
would definitely recommend reacting to renee rapp's original music, both the ep and the singles of her upcoming album, in a similar strong songwriting ability vein as olivia and taylor swift

the breath control in this song is insane!! so much respect for how she keeps going and makes it sound so effortless while belting and barely breathing. i was surprised that wasn’t touched upon in this video as that struck me so strongly. it’s such a fun song to sing and i’m happy my high range has finally grown enough to sing it comfortably. i wish i started with a vocal coach sooner

When you said "Raise your hand if you have been personally victimized by Olivia Rodrigo's songwriting", I didn't raise my hand the first time I watched this video. After listening to the rest of the album, especially The Grudge, Making the Bed, Logical, and Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl (I went to public school, but it's basically social anxiety: the song), I now raise my hand every time I rewatch this.
Rodrigo is absolutely amazing! This song blew me away the first time I heard it on the radio. She is an artist of a lifetime 💃🎉💖

This is by far the best song to come out this year, the melody is captivating right from the start. Truly gives me chills all the way through, it's such a powerful song. Even having never experienced what's described in the lyrics, you can really feel the emotion and desperation. It's heartbreaking and beautiful, what an incredibly talented woman!
Olivia’s live performances are the best. Like her live piano version of Vampire or her Billboard Awards performance of Deja Vu last year. Or any of her live performances at the Austin city limits last year. It’s even more brilliant than the studio versions.
So many songs and singers nowadays sound very similar, but Olivia is always so unique!

There’s a song I’ve heard recently, that I think is rlly powerful and symbolic. It’s called “Fish Inside a Bird Cage” and it’s just, the art can be a little unsettling for some but also it’s just so good, and so powerful, and the story it tells is nice. you need to listen to sour prom. it's all live, and her vocals are just so much more crips and better, and she changes up some things vocally in the songs. she didn't do the full album but omg, it was so good i just started sobbing.

An artist with similar songwriting themes and gut punches lyrically who I think you’d love is Maisie Peters. Her 2nd album came out in June and in particular ‘History of Man’ and ‘Wendy’ I think are good intros to the range/vibe but honestly the record has NO skips. Those are both more ballad-ish (it’s a thru and thru pop album tho) but the upbeat tracks I think you’d love are BSC and Coming of Age

i truly cannot express how much it would mean to me, but if you could react to live performances from hayley williams... i would simply perish. her talent is so slept on but with the sort of "paramore renaissance" coming on recently (talks about grammy noms, their sold out out arena tour, opening for t swift for all of the europe eras leg [+ hayley's feature on speak now tv!!], and whatever else), i feel it is time for more recognition!! recently they performed at bonnaroo and "all i wanted" got it's first professional live recording AND the other day billie eilish herself came out to perform with the band on that very song, so i HIGHLY suggest reacting to either of those since they really are phenomenal and i'd love to see your take on it!
