  • In this video we are exploring the White Cliffs of Dover and a slightly more unknown element of the White Cliffs in the form of a shipwreck from the 1920s that can still be found at the bottom of the cliffs, we are also heading into the town of Dover itself as well as exploring the Western Heights for a great view overlooking Dover.
    The Hike - 00:20
Beginning by hiking via the South Foreland Lighthouse to the White Cliffs of Dover, around this area you can see the ruins and remains of many WWII gin placements and magazine stores, as well as the entrances to the Fan Bay Deep Shelter, which are tunnels that run from Dover Castle, behind the White Cliffs and you can explore inside them today!
The White Cliffs of Dover - 01:24
Hiking along the cliffs we can see the remains of more WWII locations as well as finding some of the many cracks that form along the constantly eroding cliffs.
    The Shipwreck - 03:08
The wreck of the SS Falcon which crashed at the foot of Langdon Bay after its cargo caught fire in 1926 can be seen. This is an idea for the adventurous people as the hike down to Langdon bay is slightly challenging.
    Western Heights - 08:06
The Western heights are fortifications that were used all throughout both World Wars and overlook Dover.
    Dover Museum - 11:20
An amazing free museum in Dover home to many artefacts and great history of England and the area of Dover.
    Pines Team Room & Garden - 12:59
Home to one of the best scones we have ever had! A tea room with a great garden located next to it, a great way to relax for a hour of two.
    St. Margaret's Beach - 14:37
A great beach to relax on in the nicer weather and home to yet more WWII ruins.

We were in these exact same spots a couple of months back. We did not have the courage to go down to the wreck though 😀 we reached western heights at dusk too and yeah, it was spooky. The day was clear and we could see the white cliffs in France

We headed back to western heights a few days later on a clear day to see if we could see over to France, the views on a clear day didn't disappoint!
And yeah, that walk down to the shipwreck was great on the way down, incredible to explore the wreck... but horrible to walk back up!

I'm a jam first before clotted cream on top kind of man. But that Scone was massive!

I think I change the order every single time I eat a scone, mainly as an experiment to see which one is better (I haven't found out which is better yet). But it was massive! Perfect thing to unexpectedly eat very early in the morning, I had enough energy for the whole day!
