Andrew Fan there can be 2 reasons. One, most commonly, is Having an Alexa or Google connected to the lights, and through an account connected to the Alexa, he can turn off the lights. The second reason might or might not work, but His army manually turning of the power in the room, leaving it dark. It probably would just cause the whole room to power out, though.
