Something special this time! It took us a lot of effort & time to put this video together. For this we viewed several terabytes of video files and edited all the time-lapse videos together into this collage for you. Now you can see in one video what we did in one year on the construction site! Have fun watching it!

Hi Mike, everything was done according the plans of our structural engineer. As our house is located in the Austrian Alps we do have heavy snow in wintertime. Roughly our roof has to withstand more than 80 tons of weight. That would be something like 2 fully loaded european semi trucks...

ach so ,Zusammenfassung..........ist ja wirklich ein langer Weg.......und durch die "ausgestellt Ecke" (von oben betrachtet rechts) ist Euer Haus sehr besonders von der äußeren Form her. Finde ich. Weiterhin alles Gute !
Einen besseren Lehrfilm für Auszubildende in Bauberufen kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Zudem ein Musterbeispiel für nachhaltiges Bauen. Bis zur endgültigen Fertigstellung viel Glück und Erfolg. Viele Grüße aus der Oberpfalz!
Ich hoffe das ist ironisch gemeint.. die arbeiten sind ja gut ausgeführt(soweit man sehen kann), aber das Thema arbeitsschutz lassen wir einfach links liegen. So ziemlich alles ohne gerüst? Ich weiß nicht. Da wäre mir als Bauherr schon mulmig zumute.
Wir setzen auf Eigenverantwortung. Alle Mittel zum Arbeitsschutz sind auf der Baustelle vorhanden. Gehörschutz, Sicherheitsschuhe, Sicherungsgurte, Gerüst, Schutzbrillen etc. Alles in mehrfacher Ausführung.
Sicherheitsschuhe? In 36:45 hat's ihm wohl die Schuhe ausgezogen und den Rest gleich mit. Respekt vor Eurer Arbeitsleistung aber für die Sicherheit ist der Bauherr für alle verantwortlich!
First time I have ever seen a builder working in a 'budgiesmuggler' ( speedo ) - but he does work fast and accurately !

Eure Leistung in allen Ehren, aber das ist keine Renovierung mehr sondern ein Neubau.
So kann man es auch sehen. Ein Neubau mit ca. doppeltem Aufwand aufgrund des Altbestandes.

thats true. as nothing else was safeable. everything made from wood had to go... it was rotten or infested by insects.
@@Gabriel.Leni100 I understand, my cottage (by my gran-grandmother) had destroyed foundations and all the furniture was rotted. Today it stands as a completely different building. Great video !

The house appears to be next to an old Railway embankment. Was the house once part of the Railway infrastructure?
Yes it was! When i bought the house the tracks were still in place.

Erstmal Respekt tolle Leistung. Beim schauen eures Videos habe ich eine Frage ? Hab ich das richtig gesehen das ihr die Steine gemauert habt und nicht geklebt ? Lagerfugen gemauert sind ja eigentlich Schwachstellen. Habt ihr das bewusst gemacht wenn ja warum ?
Welche Steine meinst du? Die Ziegel?

This is not renovation , u demolition it and build new one , the building history value is gone, but u did good job
We did not demolish the walls which give the character to this building. They were also the only reusable remainings of that old house. Non of the wood had any structural strength left. So no historical value lost there. In a few weeks we will have Timelapse part 2 of our house build released. Best regards

It would appear that they are actually tearing the original down and rebuilding, nothing much is left.
We left the stonewalls. Thats what was salvagable. Everything else had to go.

@@Gabriel.Leni100 You won't believe it, but the sewer is such a thing that can become clogged over time. Any sewer system. I understand that there are a whole bunch of "specialists" around who are vying to talk about miraculous means by which everything will be "devsvenno clean". But the sewer, bitch, is still clogged! (This has been tested on my own experience). So in a few years you will get a lot of pleasure from its (God forbid) replacement. No, if you set a goal to change sewer pipes every (maximum) 10-15 years, removing pipes from the wall, you are doing everything right.
I apologize for my sarcasm.
P.S. By the way, at the same time, regular cleaning of the sewer has not been canceled!

Leni & i we both grew up in houses with wooden stairs and we both hated it as everybody would wake up at night if someone used the stairs.
The triangular addition has to do with our building regulations. They required us to rebuild the new building the same footprint as the old. So the triangular shape used to be the barn before. You can see that in one of our first videos regarding the house...
Everything was all good till Granpa came in with the Speedo, I had to fast forward that part 😂

Aus denkmalschützerischer Sicht eine absolute Katastrophe! In der Schweiz wäre so etwas unmöglich!
Wir wollen hier ein Wohnhaus schaffen und kein Museum. Unser Haus steht nicht unter Denkmalschutz. Auch hätten wir nie die finanziellen Möglichkeiten gehabt die nötig gewesen wären falls dieses Haus unter Denkmalschutz gestanden hätte.
Das Bahnwärterhaus der Nachbarortschaft wurde vor 2 Monaten abgerissen. Finden wir sehr schade. Unseres bekommt nun eine 2.Chance.

Große Anerkennung für die Leistung. Ich saniere auch seit 2 Jahren. Ich finde es aber auch schade, in so ein altes, schönes Haus so viele moderne und unökologische Baustoffe einzubringen. Irgendwie passt das auch nicht in die natürliche Umgebung und den Bauernhausflair. Das hat auch nicht unbedingt etwas mit Geld oder Denkmalschutz zu tun. Die Ökologischeren Baustoffe sind mittlerweile häufig sogar günstiger oder zumindest konkurrenzfähig. Auch in der Verarbeitung häufig für den Laien einfacher. Wünsche euch weiterhin viel Erfolg und Durchhaltevermögen.

Wem hätte dieses "schöne alte Haus" das da in weiter Flur herumsteht etwas gebracht? So hat es eine zweite Chance bekommen und wird den zwei Menschen einen Wohnraum geben. Denkmalschutz gut und schön, man sollte aber schon drauf achten wo es auch Sinn macht. Und wenn man alles Alte stehen lässt bringts oft niemandem was. Die Welt verändert sich, manchmal zum Schlechten aber indem Fall hier wohl zum Guten. Man hat nix altes kaputt gemacht, sondern was neues Sinnvolles draus gemacht. Und das sehr gut!
Das ist keine Renovierung! Ihr habt dem Haus die Seele geraubt. Für mich ist das ein Beispiel, wie ich es nicht machen würde.
