I haven't watched all of Vikings yet but I'm ecstatic jonathan rhys meyers is in it! I'm a huge JRM fan since the tutors and he is the BEST in period dramas. I'm on season 2 of vikings and to know his character and lagertha get together is gold!!!! He's so, so fine and so is ragnar.

Imagine being so uneducated that you dont know what vikings and shieldmaidens were 😂 shieldmaidens were some of the most feared of the vikings in battle, they were seen as valkyries walking the earth, ruthless and unwavering and very, very unsuspecting as for centuries men have consistently underestimated women. The women were revered and celebrated in viking culture, they were the mothers, home makers, wise women, rule makers, warriors and could speak directly to the gods who would listen to women, völvas, seeress's. - source, im a Norwegian who follows the old gods, im a völva and ive been taught about my heritage and history since I was old enough to listen. We take pride in our ancestors. I can also trace my ancestry all the way back to the 3 original viking tribes, rus, germanic and norse.
