- "Is it a ghost? Is it a man? ARGH! It's a hologram!"
In this video I give you an introduction to the SuperNaturals / Super Naturals toy line released by Tonka in 1987.
I've recently re-discovered this retro toy line as my brother and I used to own them when we were growing up and loved them. We had all 6 of the warriors plus most of the ghostling figures.
After selling them many years ago I have decided to repurchase them and will be releasing a haul video very soon but in the meantime enjoy this video as an introduction (or re-introduction if you remember them!)
I've included as a bonus all 4 TV commercials / adverts that I could find. I presume these are all the adverts produced as the toy line only lasted for 1 wave in 1987.
Let me know in the comments if you remember them or if you had any of the SuperNaturals toys!
"Change to fight with ghostly might!"

Yet another toy that proves the 80's pretty much had the best of everything.
I had the lion and the skeleton…someone I knew had the snake guy….but I can’t remember which friend unfortunately. Friggin loved these toys man. I completely forgot about them until til I saw your video. Thanks man for bringing back this fond memory!!!
I had a few of these - they were pretty cool toys. I also enjoyed the comics. Advert was very memorable.
Oh my god, i loved these, so many memories
I remember these! I had the skeleton dude! I probably still have him in storage somewhere.
Great vid. I had the Pharaoh Serpent Mummy One. Awesome toys!
This was the only toyline back then that I had the complete collection of. I remember no one else seemed interested in them at the time, which I thought was kind of cool. The final item I bought was the Tomb of Doom, but I remember feeling a bit disappointed with it. It lacked some of the magic that say, Castle Grayskull had.
Super Naturals!
They change to fight with _ghostly might!_
Super Naturals!
God, why DIDN'T this get an animated show?
I know it would have been GREAT!
I was wondering the same thing.
I totally remember these from 80s! They didn’t have a long run, from what I remember.
wow I had these
These are fucking rad. I’m determined to make my own hologram action figures now!
Had all the figures, tomb and the bad guys truck. Loved these
I had a red ghostling!
I remember these when i was a kid back in the 80's, I had several of them. They stood out in my mind because the holograms were so neat looking....But I hate that I saw this video because now I'm going to have to start collecting them...my wallet never gets a break...
Yeah I kind of have to take a step back sometimes and stop myself buying nostalgic stuff!
This video was a real treat. I love anything retro, particularly games and toys from yesteryear. I'm so looking forward to seeing your haul of these spooky characters 😍
I can't wait for them to arrive!
I thought these were so awesome when I was a kid.
I used to have the lion dude.
I remember seeing these in the supermarket once, tried and tested them right then and there, but never owned any of them.
Great memories I only had three the snake the lion and the mini jester but man did I cherish them fondly.
Visionaries really didn't appeal to me but the dark horror theme of supernaturals was a must as a kid they were just as fun as playing with the mad scientist club kits as a kid!
Great video thanks for the memories.
And yes that tomb of doom is still on my bucket list lol.
Snake=Snakebite, Lion=Lionheart, and Mini-Jester=Spooks.
The ad was genuinely creepy to me as a kid. I still remember it after 30+ years..
Yeah, it gave me the creeps too as a kid. Especially the scene where the kid rips his face off and revels that scary glowing monster. Made it hard for me to sleep for a time.
3 YEARS AGO BIRTHDAY VIDEOS
These are cool! One year before I was born though! XD Holograms and glow in the dark? What's not to like?
None of my friends as a kid seemed to care about these toys. I was really in to them and received 4 for my birthday. Skull was my favorite. I didn't like the small ghost figures though. Today I only have one mint on card, Skull, for he is still my fave and really the only one I still like.
2:33 is it a ghost? Is it a man? *screams seeing his entire family dead slain on the floor* it's a hologram.
I had the indian figure and had a weird obsession of biting the hologram and scraping my teeth over it.
haha! I had Eagle Eye as a kid and he was my favourite
I only owned the ghostlings as they were cheaper. I owned the whole set.
Which of those 8 Ghostlings is your favorite?
Glow in the dark and holograms- what was not to like? Proper classics. But what where the vehicles about😂 didn’t really fit. Tonya must have needed to shift old stock 😂
Those vehicles are AWFUL! Don't fit with the toy line at all in my opinion!
Where is the narrator of this video from?
Hi, it's my own voice :) (unless you mean the narrator in the commercials, if so I don't know sorry)
