- Our first day in Yogyakarta turned out to be truly incredible. We have been told to come and visit Yogyakarta by so many locals now. Yogyakarta is one of Java's oldest cities and it is certainly a cultural and creative hub in Indonesia. We explore Jalan Malioboro and even dance with some locals in this Yogyakarta adventure.
We can see why Yogyakarta is such a desirable destination for so many tourists.

Naomi is the star in this vlog, for sure. Purwokerto and Yogyakarta are the cities I've chosen to live my golden years. It's because of the nature, in some areas you will meet genuine people, especially the elders. Life is laid back and has a slower pace, yet it's not necessarily slow. Stay healthy and enjoy your stay!.

Hopefully after you have visited around Malioboro and at some interesting places there such as the sultanate of Yogyakarta and in the Yogyakarta by night square you can find 2 bringin trees and with your eyes closed you have to walk through the middle. This is very interesting.

Mr and Mrs if you want to go to famous temples in the world you can go to borobudur and prambanan and plaosan the beach you can go to wonosari or bantul..many beautiful beach there esspecially at wonosari..
For mountain view have also heha sky view,obelix hill,heha ocean view,obelix view, bukit bintang kaliurang,gunung api purba,tebing breksi and etc..
You can find many beautifull places in jogjakarta...the second tourist destination after bali

The unidentified satay is cow fat. In Jogja it's called sate koyor, in bandung it's called sate jando.

FYI = the High Speed Train route from Jakarta - Bandung will be inaugurated on 8th September. If you have time before flying back to Europe, perhaps you can spend some time giving it a try.

If you are still in Jogja you need to try javanese noodle cooked on charcoil. The famous one is Mie Pak Pele in alun alun (Jogja square)
For breakfast yiu can try Kopi Klotok or have a high end tea on Pelataran with the view of Borobudur from afar.
Try Gudeg (Jackfruit meal) and Bakpia (green bean cake). Those are specialty of Yogya.
Visiting everything old. The palace, Borobudur, Prambanan, etc. If you visiting the Palace don't miss the show inside.

When in Yogyakarta, I hope you can visit the Sultan's Palace (called "Keraton Yogya"). Yogya still has a functioning monarchy in form of Sultanate. Some sections of The Palace were made into museum and they are open to public. You can visit the Keraton and hire an official guide there, who can explain to you the in-depth history and details on various artifacts there. Some of the artifacts there include the royal stagecoaches from the 18th century, that were made in the Netherlands.

Yogya has complete wind directions tourism...to north you can visit one of the most active volcano Merapi as Klangon point viewing, to south you can find tons of beaches, to east you can find temples and to west you can find scenic spots view af natures of Kulon Progo area (such as tumpeng menoreh)

The sate thing aside from the chicken sate is a "Cow Fat Sate" or locally known as "Sate Kere" or "Poor/ Beggar Sate".
