- I use the Ninja walk to shoot video with the Sony ZV E10 with no camera or lens stabilization. I show this, then the same cop stabilized using Sony's Catalyst Browse, which makes use of the clip's gyro metadata, with only a 10% crop. The difference is amazing.
How much of a crop in Catalyst Browse was needed to stabilize this clip 20%? So if you used the 10-18 at it widest, that would equal 15mm plus 20% CB = 18mm which is doable. Also do you recall how long it took to convert this clip, I am guessing about 8 minutes? thanks
I use only 10% crop for walking shots. 5% for static shots. CB speed is computer dependent. It took less than 4 minutes on m1 MacBook.
0:35 Wowies!!
This is sick! Even the rolling shutter seems to go away?
Yes, it is designed to do that.
Thanks, colors are very nice. Is it lut ?
No LUT. I shoot in HLG3 and REC2020 color space and in DaVinci Resolve Studio I use their transform to REC709. Then some increase in color saturation.
@@markr041 Thanks for answer.
Thanks a lot! This has been useful for me too. Are you still using HLG3 these days or did you switch to Slog / ITU709 Matrix as many have? With HLG3 in this video, do you remember what was your ISO range or perhaps a fixed value and was this overexposed (ETTR)? Thanks a lot! @@markr041
Shutter speed? I heard you need a high shutter speed to use catalyst browse.
Yes. 1/250th.
thanks. kit lens?
E 10-18 OSS.
I'm purchasing zve10 tommorow
How can I get catalase browse for free ?

Image quality suffering hard in my opinion
But it says 4K in the title, maybe the author meant to say 1080p
@@clay_freespirit I assume the comment was on the difference in video quality between the unstabilized and the stabilized clip. Same shooting and rendered resolution (4K).
