Nice to see you working on your own vehicle, we as painters never get the chance to get our stuff done usually. I've got a vw camper sat outside my unit in primer its been there 8 years (sad). Also a lambretta at home which i managed to do 4 days work on over xmas and now it sat in expoxy (novol classic car) ready for primer hopefully soon !!!!!.
The trick with starches paint stripper is to cover the panel with poly mask to stop the solvents evaporating to quick from the paint on the panel as the solvent helps the stripper to eat into the paint as it softens the top layers.
I think the starchem one is the best. Its the only one i can find that still has dichloromethane in it which is 'the bad stuff', but prob not as much as Nitromorse used to have in it. 👍
Reminded me watching you scratch that paint up my mates kids washed his Modeo mk1 many years ago with a scotch bright sponge it was flat as a fart and needed painting lol yeah that paint stripper is rubbish now it used to be brutal . The cling film over the top stops it drying out so it works longer ! Gonna be a nice car this dude glad your dreams are starting to evolve 👌👍
Nice one! With the EP epoxy did you add the EP thinners or just went 2-1 with the 1.8. 1.8 seemed to be spot on for the application. Thanks and keep them vids coming 😊
Yeah just 2-1 with no thinner, I did read the wrong data sheet I read the one for the industrial version, it does recommend a 1.8 with EP Grunduefiller You can add 0-5 % thinner if you use the slower thinner but not with E10 hardener
Not sure it’s the same stuff? But classic car creations an American channel did a recent video on stripping panels & I think they put cling film over it & it just peeled off.

HI YOU TUBES Ha ha 😂 just kidding my friend mixed some paint at the paint shop and when my mate repainted the ford focus mk3 front bumper total different from the paint on the car even though he used a spectro camera took pictures of the paint and mixed it total different colour
Maybe try one of the shades on the system and spray it out, I've got a video coming soon on colour matching and using a spectro, they are not a guarantee for a perfect colour match but they are very useful in aiding you to get a good match
The outer and inner arches were fabricated by a guy in france i found him on facebook, he has a metal work teaching shop and has restored a few williams and 16v and the sill is a standard clio sill i think i found it on eBay quite good quality and galvanised and my friend adapted it to fit
I hate to break it to you but that replacement cill is wrong, it will ruin your project, They are a pattern part for the standard Clio MK1, the Williams and 16v flair out at the B pillar, it looks all wrong. The flair starts at the door line. It looks like the lower section of the quarter panel was pulled in to meet the cill. Not trying to hate on the work, but it would be a shame to have it spoil the project.. if you still have the original cill on the near side, do some measurements and you’ll see what I mean.

Not sure yet, tbh im not good to with sealer, i will try it free hand if it doesn't look right will probably use sealer tape or mask it
