    would be cool to change the old garmin with a new one. The contrast alone between old-style looks and modern tech would be epic

    Nice plane! Couldn’t help noticing the built-in ashtrays in the rear passenger armrests. Times sure have changed since 1978…..!

      I should have had them remove them when they did the interior but I forgot 😁

      @@jeremysmith5357 I actually love it. Not that I’m a smoker….but it’s part of the original design/parts….plus it’s history. I wouldn’t change it, if I owned it.

    Beautiful plane but why would you torture us with that blaring, awful library music?? What did it add?

    As nice as they come. Looks like it just rolled off the assembly line in 1978. Has it sold?

      Yes just sold after a very intense inspection and annual. I could have sold 50 of them if I had them. So hard to find nice ones

    Is this still for sale? Looking to purchase an airplane so that I may begin flying lessons in my own airplane from start to finish, including an IFR rating. Then I will just fly for experience and hours. Then I will upgrade to something like a Cirrus SR22T. Well, that would be my goal anyway.

      The plane is sold- We have others coming on the market. Just for your reference it sold for $126,000 asking was $129,000.

    Who did the Engine overhaul? 1700 SMOH and with high time TTAF you probably would have to be in it at over $225 or more

    • @jeremysmith5357
      @jeremysmith5357  Před 2 lety

      The engine overhaul was done by Lycoming in 2010 the compressions are all in the high 70s and it doesn't burn oil. The plane has been flown on a regular basis. Those who have been around planes for awhile know this is a great combination for going well beyond TBO.

      As an A&P and 60's gearhead,I say:Back in the day,used car salesmen slapped cheap paint-jobs on cars&sold 'em exorbitantly priced.Now, they're into planes.

      @@jamespage4092 Back in those days you could buy a new Cessna for around $10k a new Cessna 172 sells for $500k and there is a 2 year waiting list. You can get a Macco paint job for $800 still but a plane still cost $15k for the cheapest paint job. A&P's used to get paid $10 and hour and now they are $100 :-)
