- Just keep in mind the wind was blowing about 19mph constantly, also I can't fly a straight line for nothing in the world. Even with no wind lol.
With the "Queensbridge Houses", "Ravenswood Generating Station", The "59th Street Bridge", "Roosevelt Island", "Long Island City" behind you and Manhattan (NFZ) in the distance. It's kind of hard to go here and not get great pictures and or video. It just depends on the time of day you go.
Drone used: Phantom 4 standard
Camera settings: Auto, Raw
Filter: ND 8 non polarized
Music by: Audiobinger - "The Cypher"

Queensbridge, Hard as Nails.
Born in St. Vincent’s Manhattan down from Canal st. Bowery,
and then growing up in Brooklyn Sheepshead bay and Coney Island in the
60’s to the 80’s as a kid,
You had a Respect for other hoods throughout NY, and there was Queensbridge.
It was easy to say East NY, Brownsville, Bedford Sty., The entire Bronx,
Then there was the Projects of Queensbridge that no one talks about.
NYC developed diversity, respect, admiration, and control over ones self.
If you didn’t understand it, there was nowhere else in the World where you learned it.
No matter where you were from, no matter what your situation was, a place
Like Queensbridge projects taught you many lessons in life and in understanding
What it was like to be from NY.
If you made it through you were blessed, if you didn’t you had a memorial or shrine of
A name given to you just to be from there.
It’s hard to understand NYC and the boroughs.
It would rob you, beat you, make you feel less then, take everything from you,
But in the end it would wrap its arms around you and make you feel like
Your one of the family and lift you up as one of our own.
Just as long as you never forgot where you were and where you came from....
Queensbridge: Hard as Nails
Crazy how one side of the river is midtown Manhattan with luxury penthouses and on the other is one of the largest housing projects in America.
Sad but true crested by design, so the poor could look across the river at the rich. Thanks for watching
@@NoviceQuads its project all over NYC
@@gdollars2765 sad but true, all around the world the projects are known as the slums
Shook Ones
Thx for watching

Bloody hell - it’s like a town within a town! As someone from London I always thought QB just consisted of a few buildings.
Thank for watching
FM BXB Us Londoners call it housing estates and look nicer then these NYC projects
@Boi They have already started taking over.
Boi true
Lol the last of thebad estates got knocked down in the mid 00s
Straight up shit is real and any day could be your last in the jungle
Wow that’s crazy design
Thank you for watching it is the largest housing development in the United States.
The only borough where the grass ain't green, facts
The chemicals in the ground
@@NoviceQuads sad but true word up
@Keith Burton Brooklyn
@Keith Burton Maybe I don't go to those two Boroughs as often, Brooklyn has many nice parks.
@Keith Burton I did researched on this, it is actually the Bronx lol
Does it trip anyone else out? That many different people that close to each other. You bound to witness everything under the sun at some point.
We Fly with radios and only 5 or 6 at a time
Back in the day, no. I saw QB as a place to make more friends.

Absolutely amazing video, and music... Thanks
Thank you for watching, gonna do a new Queensbrigde video soon.
@@NoviceQuads 👍🏻
I went there a couple Christmas ago walked, got me a chopped cheese at the store with nas mural and walked thru them projects, crazy how big it is.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Not much has changed in that area. If you ever get a chance to visit you should go along the water side to get some great views of Manhattan
I know since you live and work there you're used to this view but It's soo cool...I live in the rural area of Robeson County, NC... so so different lol
I'm just glad I can share where I live, with others. So many people see and hear a lot of bull and bad shit about New York. But it's all bad all the time from what they show on the news and in movies. Dude New York is busy but just like any other state. Maybe a tad bit faster but we put on our pants one leg at a time just like everyone else. Thx for commenting.
Nice flight bud....looking back at some of your old footage....very interesting structure of the projects...love some of the artist out of those very location
I agree the design of those buildings is unique. It is also the largest housing development in the United States
Yes indeed I've heard that and you really can see from a bird's eye view...and the bridge is awesome as well.....alot of music history came to life within those bricks of the QB Projects
I can hear Nas flowing off this beat.
Agreed thanks for watching and commenting
New York is the coolest city

All good if you can't fly a straight line. The main thing is to hold your shot for at least 10 seconds before making adjustments.
Agreed
Hello Queens :)
Thanks for watching
Such an amazing place to fly. Beats Disney world for sure. (Can’t fly over Disney anyway)
Thank you. This video makes me cringe when I see it compared to how I fly now.
Why all House in Queensbridge having same model? Sorry im from Asia
Its a way to push large groups of family to live together. Thanks for watching
This looks like the location of get up on ESPN!?
Interesting I would like to see a picture of it
96 buildings in 6 blocks. The worlds biggest projects not the tallest. That's insane tho to fit 96 buildings in 6 blocks it sounds impossible
Not when your in New York real estate is better than gold. Thanks for watching.
Hepburn Heights
good eye
as a young middle class canadian man it blew my mind to hear that the black communities got less than 3% of the "housing money" or whatever its called. so they packed in these buildings like sardines. meanwhile the white folks have suburbs and middle class neighborhoods. i guess it must be better now than in the 90s but humanity has a long way to go. i guess we came a long way since the days of slavery. people are waking up. also my suspicious asa be thinkin the project buildings are perhaps arranged in some symbolic way. idk. i learned something today. some cold hard truth.
I appreciate and love the fact that you "Get It". The history of personal living space, is Day & Night depending on your color. Thank you for watching and commenting... #novicequads
Word Qb
Yes sir
How is this legal? If it is where can I launch it? Lol
You can launch from Queensbridge Park that's where we were. We have never had an issue from this park. But when we go to these places its on a Sunday when the helicopter traffic is at its lowest. Every place that you have see in my videos is legal, if it wasn't don't you think the police would have said something or stopped and said no flying. On this day a police car stopped and watched us fly.
Novice Quadcopters I download the app from FAA and it looks impossible to launch anywhere in queens
Novice Quadcopters I can drive over 65mph everywhere but that doesn’t mean it is legal speed just because I didn’t get caught. Thanks for the infos
So your point to all of this questioning was for what. To troll what, don't ask a question if you already have the answer already made up in your head. Thanks for watching anyway.
First of all the FAA says if your within a certain range from any airport. Proper procedure is to call that airport to let them know of your flight path etc. I have been doing this for over 2 years calling both JFK & LGA, so until they say I cant fly. I'm gonna fly as long as it's with the FAA laws. I have the same FAA info but I can bet mine is more up to date than yours. Considering we actually have airplane pilots, 107 pilots, etc telling us when its safe to fly and not to. Join our group on FB and you will see for yourself how we can fly in New York. facebook.com/groups/NYC5BDM/ We just had a meetup this past Sunday if we were doing anything illegal our group would have been shut down last year. We had 25 pilots at this meetup with no issue.
Good graffiti down queen's man
