    A lot of therapists talk about how part of their job is giving people the vocabulary they need to put their feelings into words so they can properly express them and how freeing that feeling can be. What I love about what she said is that everyone, well anyone who has gone through adolescence anyway, can identify with the feeling of not having the words to express what they're trying to say. Now, as a gay man myself I will absolutely agree that there is a whole other level to that when you are in the LGBTQ+ community, but the point I want to make is that you don't have to be in this community to identify with this feeling. More change happens when we realize just how capable we are of empathizing with each other, even those with different experiences from our own.

    🤗Big hugs to Kelly & Cynthia for helping bring to light the struggles of people who are lgbtq+ OR just feeling awkward socially, for not "fitting in", but having no words to express why! ~~ Past middle-aged myself & finally 🙌 discovering I'm on the Austism Spectrum. Both of my sons & a granddaughter, would still "feel dumb" if they weren't diagnosed w/ learning disabilities.

    This day and age I think society has just accepted people that are gay. I know about every show that I binge watch has at least one gay couple men women are both kissing each other it's just kind of seems like standard now. Kelly the nails the dress OMG Baby you're the best as always love you to the moon the sun and the Stars. ❤️💕💗💞💓💖🌹

    I grew up on MEN,!!! HELL! I got 7 brothers and 6 sisters very large Family INDEED. I often fantasized about getting married settling down and starting a family of my own nothing more I wanted in the world 🌍 was being accompanied by some cute masculine male. By the time I reached my late 20's going into my 30's my ❤️ was singing a brand new tune I had been introduced to an unfamiliar World 🌍 LGBT world 🌍 life hasn't been the same since me and my girl parted ways 15years ago I am now professing and proclaiming former lesbian WOMAN 🌈🌈🌈

    There is a huge difference between the term, 🏳️‍🌈”queer” and “lesbian “ 🌈. I may be wrong but just because we are ASSUMING (through widespread HYPE not fact), that Cynthia Erivo has an intimate sexual relationship with an Emmy award winner, IT DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THEY HAVE “HOOKED UP”. Y’all do not know THE REAL DEAL‼️ It is between the two💕of them and the public automatically believes what they perceive as being queer as being lesbian! 🚫NOT TRUE‼️ When it was taboo to be lesbian (“dyke “ or Lipstick Lesbians 💄💋)in years past, NOW in this day and age, it is NOT TABOO TO LABEL ONESELF AS QUEER 🏳️‍🌈and still be straight ! [Just as tattoos used to be considered subversive and now widely popular with Gen Z and Millennials! ] My opinion is that she ACCEPTS the concept of the queer/lesbian label as she is capable of loving the LBTQGIA community ! CHECK YOUR SOULS✨Only the Mighty Creator knows us inside out….not humanity’s opinion of her private life choices. Give it some DEEP thought 🤔🧐before you judge this GLOWING UP masterpiece of a BEAUTIFULLY GORGEOUS Black woman💎, who has pushed herself beyond her limits to become the absolute humble , gracious, and supremely stunning, talented songstress, athlete and gifted actor, that brings great scintillating JOY into our lives‼️🌟💥

    why do they use the word Queer that's the most horrible word to call someone. Being a gay woman for the last 40 years .. Don't use queer

    • @angelabest4468
      @angelabest4468 Před rokem

      I agree.... I'm 41 y/o lesbian. Somewhere in the early 2000s LGBTQ+ community decided to take that word back as an empowering term I guess so over time it has been acceptable however I still find it cringe but that just me and I guess that also just shows how we all just have to do what is right for ourselves and glad we have the freedoms to do that... If she identifies with that word and is comfortable, cool!

    • @kalebjernigan
      @kalebjernigan Před rokem +9

      We have reclaimed the word and many people feel comfortable using the word to identify themselves! It is also an all encompassing word for people who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community if they are comfortable using it! If you are not comfortable with using it, then by all means do not use it! We just want everyone to feel comfortable with the language they use to express their identity

      Queer does not mean the same thing as homosexual. It has been reclaimed for several decades now as a term for people who feel like they do not feel like they fit into any of the “boxes”. It can refer to genderqueer or sexual fluidity. It is fine if you do not wish to have that term applied to you, but you do not get to dictate what others identify as.
