Misu is always just as strong as the plots needs it, Akimi is instantly perfect at everything she does and every danger is resolved with deus ex machina (Ringo appearing out of nowhere mostly). I realy wanted to like BES and its realy REALY good when its quiet, like with the smithing as you said. But when its loud, to me it felt like an childrens idea of cool action and drama.
