Wish i would have known back in 2008! But, this music is here now for a lot of reasons. Not then. Funny how a matter of delaying typing his name in for all those years, would result in what it did! Because it was like, oh MGK, then bam!!!..So my Colson Bakes story goes as such. A couple or a few years ago, my boyfriend threw Alpha O-Mega on, I think. It was a future wrapped present for me, in perfect timing. Sound like a gift from big J, if you know what i mean!! This song (ONE of my first favorite of his. It pulls you in and captivates you if your open to it. Like pretty much a good most of his music videos. Havent stopped listening to his music. Also tuning into his other stuff! Been an abesolute ride he takes you on. Also thos song being one of the main ones. Inspired me to take the next step in my writing. By writing my own verses. Also he made me recognose something in me i lost in 2008. My first year of being homeless after i graduated, also ran away. :( But Its now 2018. I graduated college in 2012. Nothing too major, Not a 4 year. But i love that school to death! It changed my life! Im just not wanting to seem like a dang gene-yus here!! Just dont underestimate career college as a choice! I did end up with a great long term job. (That i didnt end up holding down.) But i did make the deans list and honor roll. For the first time in my life :) for medical assisting. Then, heres a real twist!!! Got on opioids...downers, stimulants, also pills. You know the deal. Its now 2018. I haven't stopped listening to his music a year after being out of the same drug riddled trailor park i found myself in. At the age of 18 or 19. The same place i stayed in a shed in while i went to school to graduate for a medical position. You've probably connected all the dots by now. Now its 2018. I dont use black, white, or other forms actively anymore. I hold a job, pay rent. Go skateboarding a lot. Go to the beach a lot. WRITE and LISTEN to music. A LOT! (At least to adjust to for now. But im doing it!) I play guitar again, have a lot of interests again. But most of all, im working on myself. I slip here and there. Managing things on methadone though. I recommend exploring the options it can provide with your doctor, highly! For the new young addict out there!! Thats 18 and reading this!!! You dont have to do it cold turkey yet!!! And you wont. Because its a taper. Gonna be hell, no way around that. Put its possible!! Know this!!) Back to voulnteered story....Colson Baker, as well as his CREW, and other rappers he always feature, reminded me of something i lost. I picked it up and ran with it so fucking fast!! Im in coulncling and am working on my CONFIDENCE AGAIN!!! I couldnt do that in the way they reminded me...for YEARS!! That was my thing when i was sober. As well as just being sober. I love his line..."paid a couple hundred for a high i couldnt get on my own" -Rehab. But now im closer to that goals because me, as well as God, family, loved ones. Reverse the writers block or write it off. Dont deepen the deep end. Just weaken the pheening. I'll get my mind over these matters. So my pens sulking doesnt lead me on. Guide my shadows tears in the rain. A phantoms pain. Feeling cut off. But here to stay. My silent partner will always speak. Painting shapes and colors, from a place so free. Intertwining lettering.

The ironic thing is that if he didn't do that, and instead paid attention to MGK, the two would probably have various songs together by now, and Eminem would be happy knowing that rap has another young prodigy.. but fuck that.
