Hi Rachel! I literally just got it back from the Ngee Ann City store yesterday! I have no idea if the straps are still PU or actual leather. We’ll see how it holds up after a few years

My gabrielle backpack's strap is also flaking and peeling off :') my bag is a series 27 which was made in mid 2019 so surprisingly chanel still uses PU leather for it :( So I just wanted to ask, if I decided to replace the straps will chanel replace it with the new real leather strap or will they stick with the same PU material?
OMG bummer! I seriously though they would've changed it by then. I would assume they would change it to real leather cause if they changed it to PU again, it means we're going to return the bag again for repairs some time down the road.
Hmm, I haven't been able to head down to get it fixed but from my friend who did, they didn't need the receipt. I guess that's what the serial number is for?
