Dig for victory. Food will win the war and write the peace. Motivational posters from ww1. Simple food, simple clothes, simple pleasures. ✌

I’ve been intending to tidy my back garden for ages. The ground is so hard and full of stones and bricks that I can’t get a fork let alone a spade into the ground more than about an inch once the top 4 or 5 inches have been removed.
This year I’m determined to make a lot more progress than last year. It’s currently a little on the cold side to start working on it as I’m getting regular overnight frost. I don’t want to stress my immune system when there’s so much Lager Lurgy around.

I love Psalm 91! Thank you for uploading! I have a question. I am starting seeds inside as our last frost is usually in April. My tomatoes are tall and spindly. I try to keep them warm and use a sun lamp on them but they're still spindly. Any suggestions?

Healthy and Loving Life love Psalms 91 as well! There’s a few reasons why your plants could be spindly. They really do need sunlight and they need about eight hours of it. Usually the reason why they become lengthy or spindly it’s because they are spending a lot of energy reaching for any light. Another reason could be lack of nitrogen.

@@homefarmideas I try to get the grow light as close as possible to the plant but maybe I'll try some nitrogen and see if that makes a difference. Thank you!!!

Healthy and Loving Life those are usually the two major reasons.

What if you're very low on funds with just enough for seeds and no compost. Maybe 2 bags soil????? Can any seeds be in containers? I'm only one person. Want tiny garden.

Mimi Shella You can plant with soil that you know has nutrients in it. You can usually tell by the color. If the color is nice and dark it’s usually has nutrients in it. All the compost that I have is from my yard. It’s grass clippings, leaves, and other things that I’ve thrown in the compost pile.
