I admire Rajeev Masand and he seems to be a genuine man. He has always interviewed deserving people. Whether it is surekha sikhri,Kangana Ranaut or Tapsee Pannu.. and I love the way he conducts himself in the interview. There's a lot of positivity in his smile. He is probably one of the very few critics who give quite an unbiased review. keep it up sir!

Wow,so refreshing to see actors like Tapsee & Sobhita who have a life beyond movies and the consequent honesty they bring onscreen. The passion and positivity spilling from Tapsee is contagious.She is also redefining the idea of what a Hindi film heroine can do via roles in Manmarziyaan,Badla etc.Hope she scales greater heights & become a great example of what attitude & hardwork can achieve,on her own terms.

@@pmaraj she went on to say she made anand l rai but completely forgot the fact that he also has a significant role in the stardom she enjoys now.. he signed her for tanu weds manu when she literally had no good job and then the second part has a huge role in making her a bankable actor.. from the ivs anand comes off as a pretty decent guy.. he stopped working with her because she interferes too much into his job and no director( esp the one of his caliber) will like that..

Taapsee deserves the biggest films with the best scripts with top stars, but she doesn't get those opportunities because top stars are so obsessed with foreign girls like Katrina who take more than 15 years to even learn to speak the language properly, let alone act. Taapsee will make it on her own without the help of top male actors.
It's always better to create ones niche than being part of the herd.

She has also made a pass on Kjo on how she is still not considered successful enough to be on koffee with karan. One doesn't have to vile and anger-spewing to get their point across. One doesn't have to bring down everyone else to show their superiority amd acknowledge no one else's contributions in helping them shape their careers. One doesn't have to be as cynical as Kangana to be hailed as ambassador of feminisn.

I have become her huge fan after watching her interview with Anupama Chopra. And since then, the moment I see this is Tapsee interview I immediately click on the video and this lady never disappoints me. I am so so impressed by her intelligence and her view on every topic be it film industry, sports, regional cinema or on society as a whole. She talks sense and is so relatable. She is the first Bollywood personality that I would like to meet in person as am very sure the conversation is going to be very interesting and sane.
Having said that, would love to see her more and more on Big screen. She deserves each bit of success.

Rajeev is a HYPOCRITE. Here, he is praising Taapse's performance in Manmarziyan yet he gave the Best Actress award to Alia Johar at the critics choice film awards. Alia gave an okay performance that turned into an unintentional comedy in her "mujhe ghar jana hai" scene. Double faced Rajeev. Shame on you.

Rajeev Masand I have seen your Manmarziyan review and yes, you did praise Taapse, like all those 34 critics in the association (I know you don't own it; I should have been more clear). Taapse's performance in Manmarziyan was listed the best among female actresses last year by several of those critics and Alia wasn't even included on their lists Yet it is hard to believe how Taapse still lost that award. Rajeev, I agree with your views 90% of time and I'm a fan of your movie reporting and interviews. It's just I refuse to believe your association voted without bias. Not even Tabu or Neena Gupta?
Alia's performance in Raazi was best reviewed by Raja Sen and everybody should read it as Alia's performance was just okay but somehow it made audience to think that it was great.

Rajeev Masand Yes sir, this is your opinion and that's mine but I'm not the only one who thinks that Alia Johar didn't deserve that or any award for Raazi, especially in a year where Tabu, Taapse and Neena Gupta broke new grounds. Just go and see the comments under the Critics Choice Film Awards tweet about Alia Johar's win and you will find that most think that anyone other than daughter Johar deserved to win.

Taapsee was good in Manmarziyan but Alia surely left a greater lasting impact. Now we can have a discussion about it. But that's the point. Raja Sen can have different view points as to Rajeev and other critics. He had given 3.5 to zero and 4.5 fan. Don't agree at all. But again to each his own.

Taapsee was removed from Karan Johar produced Pati, Patni aur woh remake . Instead he casted bhumi pednekar . Now both bhumi and taapsee are working in the same movie .

I think originally bhumi and tapsee were the main cast. And then they removed tapsee and casted Ananya pandey.
