This is such a popular video clip because it is Phil and Jason. Phil was such a fantastic father and uncle. Phil and Jason are so in tune with each other and funny. Like father like son. Just wonderful to see them together. Phil you are missed so much RIP.

I have a lot of admiration for their modesty - and no matter what others may say about their relationships, I could tell that they loved each other, and family was at the core of their relationship.
Phil was an incredibly gracious person, I think even more so late in life, I feel honored to have been able to participate in that families life. Jason is well portrayed in this clip. You are and always will be my best mate regardless of distance and time bud.

Jason is just as humble as his Father Phil. They truly seem like simple men who follow their heart and make the most of whatever life brings. I write this in the present tense but it is both present and past. I so loved Phil Everly and Don Everly too. I only wish I had gotten the opportunity to tell them how much and to tell them Thank You for all the joy and happiness. 🎼🖤

When I want to listen to music to take me back to good music, it always begins with the Everly Brothers. I loved folk music and their album "Songs our father taught us" was the beginning of that love.

@dougleberry9667 - I don't think that's quite fair. The Everlys' sound in the 50's and 60's was so unique because they were the first to introduce close harmony melodies fresh from the coal mines of Kentucky and the hills of Appalachia with such precision. Ike taught the boys extremely well. Yes, there were other singing families, but no others sang with the absolute perfection of the EB's. But even the authentic Everlys were forced and even wanted to move into a variety of musical expressions. And those later modes never quite reached the success of the original 1950's and 1960's harmonies. Every musician has his time and Jason must have his own season in the sun. Let the son have his chance as the father had his chance, and his father before him . . .
