- I recently updated my novel planning notebook and I think this is sooo helpful! I was inspired by Sarra Cannon over at Heart Breathings, especially this video of hers:

That is such a pretty cover. And I always am OBSESSED with seeing other people’s writing notebooks, there’s something so inspiring about them. Love it~ 💖
Thank you!! And meeee too! There's something about a good notebook, idk what it is man, but it's so fascinating!!
Agree!,,
idk why I never thought about using a happy planner as a novel notebook. mind blown!
Yeah!! It's like a binder, without having to wrestle with those big ol' snaps in the middle! And these are really easy to whip up if you've got some extra HP supplies lying around!
Hi! I got inspired by Sarra Cannon as well and im in the process of setting up a classic happy planner notebook for plotting too, but for my comics! Loved to see your video too, its really inspiring. Love the idea of the kingdom that's always in sunset, that sounds so dreamy and fun
Loved this! Thank you. I found your older planner video then saw this. So glad I did. I'm a pantser and write my stories without an outline. I am constantly writing notes about parts of my story when I'm not around my computer which I couldn't figure out how to organize and this was very helpful. I love your vision boards. Please do a video on that; I'd love to do them too.
Yessss!!!! I do agree with the notebook thing about not knowing how many pages certain sections would take. Same reason I don’t do collections in my bullet journal. It makes me not want to use the notebooks when I freak out about pre planning where to write my notes.
As soon as I saw the video thumbnail I had to watch. I love the idea of a happy planner, but I’m put off by having to buy a punch if I print paper of make a vision board or whatever. Maybe one day I’ll get over myself and buy happy planner gear hahaha
Ugh, I know! It's a bummer having to buy a bunch of extra supplies. I don't love that either, but man, once you have the punch, it's like the world is your oyster haha!!
@@dreamplanwrite That's what I was thinking, once I have it it'll be great. I just buy too much stationery as it is lololol
@@EmilyBourne Omg, can TOTALLY relate lolll!!!
Love this! I've been recently moving away from digital writing, because I so love pen and paper, but it's been a struggle keeping all my stuff together and accessible when I can't just click a button to find it. This is such a good idea!
The Last Unicorn is a movie I grew up with - I soooo love this cover
Great video! I love Sarra Cannon and you've really inspired me to revamp my plotting planner
This is so awesome, because yesterday I was looking for unused discs and other supplies to setup a new plotting notebook (I just had a new, exciting story idea), and among the things I did was watch your older planner videos for inspiration.
Yesss! I totally get that. I hate that I have to choose and then stick to a certain size, because sometimes I think it would be so fun to have a mini, or a big, or a half-classic lol! At least everything ELSE is changeable/customizable, right? 😁
That's so cool that you went back and watched my older planner videos! I'm hoping that over time I can post more planner videos on here to give more inspiration. I love watching videos like these! ❤️
I luv ❤happy planners great job explaining that.
I use a plotting journal I got off Etsy.
I have it in a 3 ring binder. I’m writing a series, so it’s in a big 2 inch binder.
Love it!! I always have the same problem with notes (or even worse, written across multiple notebooks) this definitely makes things easier. I can't believe I haven't thought of this before! Thanks for sharing.
I think I've seen your books before! And I didn't realize you had a channel. I just subscribed to you! 😁 glad you liked this setup! I miss this notebook. I lost it in a fire 🥲 but I made a similar one. 😁
@@dreamplanwrite OMG! Seriously? That’s super cool that you’ve seen my books around. Eek! Sorry you lost the notebook, it is super pretty, but I saw you made a new one later on your channel. I’ve seen the Sarra Cannon one before before she’s always converting an existing calendar, I totally forgot they do blank pages and regular paper I find rips in the rings. Guess I’m doing a Michaels shopping trip soon!
I came across this video on happenstance, looked up your book, I'm definitely going to read it!
Aw thank you so much! 😁
Your vision boards are gorgeous and really make me want to read your books. I'm the same with my notebooks, in that I write everything in one and things get lost in it, but my main story bible is a huge bulky thing that is practical but uninspiring. Yours seems like a nice mix of the two.
Aww thank you so much! I'm glad you like it. It was easy to put together! ❤️ And hey, there's definitely something to be said for practicality.
Beautiful cover 🥰🥰
I love the way you have this set up! And I love your vision board 😍
Those vision boards give me lyyyfe! They are so easy to make on Canva and I think they make such fun eye candy! ❤️
This is so aesthetically pleasing!! I love it
Thanks!!! 😁 I thought it turned out pretty cute when all was said and done!
Bullet journaling might be perfect for you.
I actually started my "planning journey" with a bullet journal, I liked it but I'm not good at doing all the perfect division to make it look not wonky.. like in the monthly calendars for instance. Plus it takes so much time to set up, time I honestly just don't have 🥲 since this video, I have found a lot of success with using happy planners and I am also trying out the Daily Grind planner now. 😁
Interesting set-up! Thanks for sharing, I liked it very much 💘
Thanks so much, I'm really glad you liked it!! 😁
This speaks to my heart so much! Thanks for sharing! :))
So glad you liked it!! ❤️
I'm plotting my stuff in a regualr school notebook cause i dont own a happy planner so I'm planning my book in a school notebook and i wrote the description for it i wrote out the charcters and what they do and I'm gonna soon write out the plot for it soon and write out the charcters back story's too! My book is gonna be called the darkness part one!! I'm so excited for it cause i love to write but since i make soo many mistakes when i write i been writing it in pencil cause its easier for me I'm hoping that's ok 😵😱😨😨😰have a nice day love your notebook btw😍😍
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. A school notebook works great! I used them for years when I was younger, and I've recently been using a composition book too!
 I love your vision board!
Thank you!!! It's easy to whip one up real quick on Canva and honestly I didn't put that much effort into them! Highly recommend making some for fun project inspiration!
Why don't do the same with computer?
