I had ordered a projector from banggood. I was charge a 2.5 k custom duty for it. But when I went to the post office to recieve the parcel, the parcel was already tampered and the net weight of it was less than 1 kg while it was expected to be more than 3.2 kg.
I tried to peep through the openings and I saw instead of projector there were bundles of paper put inside the projector box.
This is insane, its fraud. I didn't recieve the parcel and let it return. I am worried if I wud recieve my refund from banggood when they won't find their stuff in the return parcel
So how it ended now?
II have sent a birthday present to a 16 year old girl in Aizawl from the U.S. and $50 gift and i calmed it was worth $100 . it has been held in customs for 10 days.

Have worst experience as my parcel of phone from Australia stuck at Mumbai custom , I did not got any information or acknowledgement. No one is ready to respond, I was ready to pay the customs duty.no email, message unless you hire an agent to look into it.suggestion to everyone one ...never send anything via post to India, customs is totally corrupted . Thank god my local friend from Mumbai helped me in getting my parcel after 2 month's. For 40k phone I paid around 20k as customs duty and other charges. Request to all people if you are ordering some thing from abroad, better bring it via someone who is coming to India.

@@kac3514 Same for me. But I ordered in March. Looks like not possible to get it now as far the tension settles between India and China. You can ask for a Refund from Bangood too. They will send back the money (+ the parcel if we have luck to get it back)

I ordered an Electric Airsoft toy gun(AGF) made of plastic worth Rs.3000 from South Korean E-commerce website named GMARKET on 25th of September. I kept tracking it until when it reached Chennai the product showed ‘Item Held By Customs’. When I contacted the customs officials, they said airsoft is restricted/prohibited according to Indian Arms Rule and is treated as Firearms so it will not be returned to me. Further a Show Cause Notice will be issued to you stating to pay penalty. I knew that it does not come under the classification of firearms since it is just a plastic toy gun with orange tip. The customs officials have misunderstood between a firearm & a toy gun and also it doesn't even attract license to have the toy gun. I went there and explained them clearly twice and after 1 month of seizure they contacted me and asked for a written letter stating the reason to close the entry for issue of show cause notice from their side so that they can clear my package and send for delivery. I did what they asked for and it's been 2 days still package is not delivered to me nor the india post delivery status has been updated. How long will EMS India post take to deliver to me after customs clearance?
I ordered anker sound core motion b from aliexpress and when post master handed over percel to me percel was repacked with duct tape..when opened there was no anker speaker but folded papers to fill the package ..and custom declared the percel passed duty fee..what to do ...post office denied to take complain...
how can I put pressure on post office .. i know item has been stolen from local post office ..the kept the percel for 6day before delivering ... Very hard to get from customs, gst will be 28% and custom fee will be another 15%-30% depending on items. But you can able to get ITC for that gst you paid.

There are pleny of things you should NOT do though.

yajur adhithya : post office stuff stealing item from percel and higher authority supporting them...as higher authority does not take complain ... does not look into this matter seriously ... does not care about the sorrow of buyer who has lost his item...does not implement a strict rule to find out thief and punish them..

Who customs charge will be 28% custom fee and 12% gst that 12% you can get as input tax from gst portal or you reject the parcel and ask them to revaluation on your stuff.

I sent a package(Camera) via FedEx in Nigeria to California since November 2021. The camera is worth $6,000. It got to US and the receiver was contacted to clear customs so as to receive it but the receiver said the package should be returned to me being the shipper. Up till now, I am yet to get the package return to me in Nigeria. A shipping label has been created for the package but the shipment is yet to be returned. I don’t even know the location of the shipment.

Or you just have to wait , it will get cleared if the item isn't illegal.

What if I do not enquire or reply to custom in case my shipment stucked in custom and did mot claim to avoid hectic exercise with custom. My one shipment ₹940 only is stucked and I am not interested to chase it.
Nothing will happen. They might sent you another enquiry for parcel. In this case you can refuse to take the parcel and relieve yourself from the custom duties and other procedures. Otherwise you even don't reply that is fine.

“Unsuccessful delivery due to Others due to Action: Retour” - Can someone help me understand what this means? I was supposed to receive this shipment in Kolkata but this message has been on the tracker for the past 9 days once it arrived at Mumbai.
I had ordered handbags from China for personal use but the address I gave was of a shop because someone working there would collect it for me. FedEx asked for that shops documents which was not possible for me to provide because they were not the buyers. So I changed address and gave my address itself so that I can give all documents. The seller had to give revised invoice and declaration letter but they made only changes in invoice but not given letter though I paid for it. Then i gave KYC and still FedEx wants me to give authorisation letter, letter from previous addressee and letter from me regarding change of address. Meanwhile i am being charged demurrage fees . I am so stressed. I have to wait for 15 days, pay the charges, etc etc.
how much number of bags u ordered it , if the number is big u need to provide the authorisation letter.

edit:- I contacted my local post office and have the post man number, who tells me that no such package has arrived till now. He however urged to call him every three days.
Most of them will take 30-45 days so wait for some more time.

Sir, i want talk to you one serious issue about my parcel. From 12/3/22 i orderd one digital radio from china site. Then they send to me via Malaysia (pulu pinang hubb) from 25/3/22. Does customs clearance happen 247? Or only during business hours? My package shows, "custom receive" in Chennai Foreign post. No other information. Custom receive and that's it. It does not even show retention. What is going on? This didn't have any problem from US to India, came through very smoothly. Until it reached Chennai foreign post office.
