- When Kaiyodo announced their Revoltech Amazing Yamaguchi Spider-Man Version 2.0 I was mildly interested. I don't have any attachment to the All New All Different costume so I didn't pre-order. But for some reason I have been in full Spidey mode the past few weeks so I had to grab it and I'm glad I did! It's amazing! Spectacular! It really IS all new and all different from Version 1.0!

I got mine yesterday, and it is a huge improvement over the first one. As much as I love Mafex classic Spidey figures, nothing poses like a Yamaguchi.
It's made for posing! It's Amazing Yamaguchi's exact purpose in life!

This is the best articulated Spider-Man figure for now.
I’ve always liked Revoltech, even though some of their sculpts and silhouettes can be a bit wonky (I have their C-3PO & stormtroopers). I always appreciated their ambition with making their figures as posable as possible (unintentional tongue twister). Very cool to see how they’ve upped their engineering on this figure. I hope they do more Star Wars in the future.

Love this suit! My favorite modern Spidey suit from the comics. So stoked that it's in figure form besides the Pizza Spidey body or the Hot Toys. Definitely picking this up!
It grew on me super quick. Now I'll take this figure in the current costume with the yellow. That's kind of striking too.

I always love the Kaiyodo figures because they are more active. I have to learn how they work to get the best poses, it really makes them unique to take photos of.
Lmao their early stuff is basically just "rubik's cube but with limbs". Very niche appeal for sure.
Source: I have their old Ingram from Patlabor. It's got their wonky joint cuts but when it gets in a pose, it still looks slick as hell for how old of a figure it is.
Definitely worth getting a this and the Black Panther figure 👀🔥

The reason this suit looks like armor, is it because it based off the spider-armor IV. That armor has the backlit green spider logo and green tints to it. It is not meant to be the classic suit, but a spider-armor version.
I'm definitely in the love yamaguchi camp.
This is such a massive improvement from the first version. The stylized proportions flow a lot better and it can strike a neutral standing pose as excellently as any other heavy dynamic poses. The first version now looks like a bootleg version with the very disjointed proportions

This one called to me too for some reason. I got a notification that my Mafex Ben Reiley had come in at Hobby Link Japan. I was about to ship it when I saw they also had this in stock. I figured I'd take advantage of the current yen to usd rate and ship them together. Ended up getting this for $68 compared to $109 from a US site.
I'm popping my Amazing Yamaguchi cherry with The Flash later this year, looking forward to figuring out how it all works!

Although I know that this appearance of Spider-Man is based on Mark 04 from the All New All Different stage, the fact that this figure has the joints designed in this way gives him more of an android appearance, in my opinion XD
Would like to see an articulation VS Sentinel Spider-man and Amazing Yamaguchi Spider-man.
The Arkham Knight Yamaguchi is pretty good too!
I'm not into AY, since I like my figures to be more intuitive, but this figure looks niiiiiice! But I think part of that for me is just how it captures this suit. I love this look, the Worldwide suit is really underrated. Also, I've seen a few reviews now and it makes me chuckle how everyone calls it something different.
Glad I held off on getting the reissue of the original. Hope Amazing Yamaguchi makes a Miles down the line.
I have my few favorite Spider-Men I love the mold from gamer verse ps4 and I love the retro amazing Spider-Man Ben Reilly the regular and the symbiote that wave is great I also love fantasy Spider-Man and the UK 🇬🇧 Spider-Man I’m glad to be a collector your never to old to collect
I can definitely see this as being a Spiderverse 2099 Miguel O'Hara, maybe due to the anime-like proportions and the muscle definition

Obvious improvement on the sculpt/articulation integration, but i prefer the overall proportions of V1! This one's head is a bit too small, torso and thighs a bit too big, but still looks wonderful posed up
I like Revoltech more than most, but especially in these colors, it looks like Spider-Man is held together by balloons/stress balls. Still the best action poses in the business though!
Might have to get this I love the look of most high end figures but if I can get a decent figure for cheaper I will always get it over the other…unless it’s unique

I love amazing yamaguchi and I already miss the comic book splosion packaging. I really like how theyve developed the sculpting with Deadpool 2.0 and continued here. But, i think Mafex is still my definitive spidey. Im still hoping for a Cable reissue

When I first heard Revoltech made another spidey figure I was like: "PLEASE TELL ME IT'S A SYMBIOTE FIGURE!!" But no, it's the all-new amazing Spider-Man, which is amazing! Definitely not what I was really expecting though. I am glad it finally can stand more neutrally than the previous release lol

Also the body of all might should be great for a 2.0
At the very least they gotta do Black suit Spiderman and Ben Reilly. It would be interesting to see a 2099 too
I'd say the only thing Mafex has that Kaiyodo doesn't, is the magnets on wall crawling hands. I'm ok with the sculpt breaking a little for that level of posing.
All-new All-different Spider-man suit is indeed an armor. Spider-armor MK 4 to be precise. That's why it's glossy
They should have made the shoulder joints more similar in color to the costume. They look orange compared to the metallic red.

Both v2 (spidey and Mr pool) are top notch man!.. Maybe next year we will have venom (since it was the 003 from the line)...Without any question, my hopes are in an AY Daredevil. 😅

Posting from the future to say that you were surprisingly close. It's Agent Venom rather than Brock, but it's a version of Venom all the same.
Revoltech is too expensive for me, but I love their work of art.

That Spider-Man suit is armor, it’s in the Spider-Man ps4 and it’s called spider armor MK 4 I think
Is this a good introduction to Amazing Yamaguchi figures?
This one is a nicer balance, a less steep learning curve, than previous Amazing Yamaguchi, so I'd say yes.
I got that first one to see what Revoltech's figures are all about and decided it's just not for me. A lot of weird compromises are made with the sculpt and overall look to maximise poseability - so if you like wild poses maybe it'd be just the thing but if like me you mostly have figures standing around in relatively neutral ones, not so much. This version seems like a big improvement - no more cowboy bow-legs for a start - but I'd still say that Revoltech is an acquired taste.

Beware when buying this figure, finally received in my Pile of Loot from BBTS and found the left leg will not stay attached. After speaking with the rep over at BBTS about replacing (which he said will be delayed) he informed they are having multiple complaints of the joints not holding through simple movements on this figure. It appears to be an issue in the socket molds, for example the socket is shallow and too wide on my left leg but you can swap out with the right and it pops on fine. Really disappointing overall and I'm waiting to hear back on the timeline for replacement.

The joints are less obvious. Is it easier to se the balls, joints, and holes in person? It’s mostly invisible with this shiny Spider-Man. The thighs are still a bit too think for my Spider-Man, but otherwise, yum!
Mine just arrived, yet it comes with QC issue. Both legs being left legs, what are the chance to get the flawed one...
Anyone has experience regarding part replacement? Or I'm just stuck with this junk?
Just got mine from BBTS also with QC issues left leg socket had a mold issue so leg wont attach. The rep told me they were having numerous issues with the figure but I'm waiting to hear back the next steps on if they will replace.
@@MMunn Well, any QC issue is bad unless it is treatable to some degree. Hopefully yours could be fixed or even getting replaced, you might wanna try to email their inquiry. Unfortunately, mine will be collecting dust as an expensive trash.
