I think it is easier to catch multiple fishes and duplicate them. Then you can fill your inventory with fishes, finish a quest and then restart the day until you have 200 quests finished
or u could just join any server that has special command for journey mode character to unlock all item. as an example dark gaming server has a command to unlock all item then restart the day until u have 200 quests finished
weird that almost no one knows, you can put one fish in the research then fish again and research it again Basically how it works is you have only 56 stone blocks and you can put it in the research, it will be 56/100 then you can get the rest later

This also works if you just change your name slightly every time. Ex. “(Name)x1-(Name)x200”. Then you don’t have to create a new character and go into a chest every time
easier way: make a journey mode character. get the angler. For every quest he gives, fish two and research both, then duplicate it and hand it in. Set the day to midnight then midday, he will have a new quest. Eventually, you will have all the fish he can possibly ask for and you can do a quest in under 10 seconds. Took me 4 hours total to go from 22 to 200 quests. i got all the fish around 80 and it took an hour to finish from there
I used journey mode too, except as I was slowly trying to build what I quote unquote called “the hub” I was just simply building different fishing spots for different quest fish. Found it super fun honestly.
Honestly if you're doing journey mode just do the fun option and actually go fishing and collect the quest fish It is so satisfying at the end where you're able to ask him for a quest and then just pull into your duplication menu so that you can just give it to him right then and there It's even funnier when he acts like you took way too long to get it to him

Im on classical world, expert, pre hardmode and alredy have 95 quests completed. I really enjoy fishing. I have 2 golden rods and all the best equipment to fish (accessories and costume)
You don't need to make new characters, you can just rename your current one. I do this outside of Journey mode and just catch a bunch of a given quest fish so I can accelerate the rewards.
If you're going to use journey mode, you may as well use a mod that lets you reset the fisher's quests with an "angler amnesia potion", along with the mod that turns achievements on while you're playing mods.
I got another way: So go on all item server and get all fish duplicated than go to journey world go to angler and duplicate each fish 5 times so u dont have to get it another times and 4 will drop on gorund than turn fish into angler than use time to set night and morning and there u got 1 quest per 6 sec
Btw slime i found and easier way. Instead of using multiple character, use your main character and rename him to a different name (it cant be the same name twice)
Or for people who wanna do it slightly more legit not in journey mode, 1.Get a good fishing gear anything works but this makes it easier (Optional) 2.Make a fishing area with all areas 3.get a quest and fish the fish put it in a chest and do this about 20 times 4.Then just make 20 characters and repeat this cycle 10 times
Ya’ll are just lazy. I had this only a few months after this achievement existed, WAY before journey mode was a thing. And by the way, it’s easier to just throw the fish out if your inventory, or put it in the trash slot. The trash slot isn’t counted as being in the inventory, so you’re able to catch a quest fish while it’s there.
You can turn off autosave after catching a fish he wants, put it in a chest, exit and save, go back in, turn the fish in, kill yourself, close the application while in the death screen. You then just keep turning it in, dying, and closing on deathscreen until you reach 200
Dying after turning it in saves the data on your character that you completed it, and closing the application closes the world without saving it so the angler is reset and the fish goes back in the chest.
Did this legit, way back before Journey mode, get the sundial (skip a day), create new world, find angler, complete first quest, use sundial to next day complete 2nd quest, rinse and repeat by making a new world everytime to complete 2 fish quests in about 5 minutes.

I did this a while ago. Yes, it certainly will be easier and faster, but it still took me like an hour and a half and I already had like 90 quests done.
to clean up go to Documents>My Games>Terraria>Players>ctrl A(move the important players into a temporary folder)>ctrl D>Move back the important players
I dunno. I've done this achevement(several times) normally just by catching a fish once a day throughout the game. It's not that hard, considering that you need ~80 hrs for that and my average playthrough can get up to 150 hrs

The hardest achievement is clearing all the evil biome (crimson or corruptoion) in your world

There’s a map on the steam workshop that I used for a good chunk of them. Life saver, helped me get the components I needed for my shellphone.

You can also get all the specials fish and skip day for next quest duplicate the fish give him it now do that 200 times so need to make 200 characters

I used a server to unlock a character went onto a world then time warped the quests. Lot faster then making 200 characters

fish up the first one throw it out and the game wont know that youve caught a quest fish and then can do it infinitely for infinite quest fishes
If you really want to cheat it, if you are on computer you can import the “all items” world from steam and get all of the fish from there.
This... Doesn't seem hard at all, just time consuming. It helps, if you enjoy fishing.
