This shit still slaps all these years later. 🔥
Was so ahead of it's time. I remember finding this after practice one day and our whole band just going nuts
10 YEARS AGO, MY FRIEND INTRODUCES THIS SONG WHILE WE ARE ON A TRIP ... AND I AM STILL LISTENING TO IT. 🖤
Dudes were 11 years ahead of their time, even in near 2024 this is revolutionary
Reflections deserves to be one of the biggest Metalcore bands in the world. I don't know who to talk to that could help make that happen, but as accessibly enjoyable as most "Metalcore" fans see Bring Me The Horizon as, a band like them that traded in riffs for Pop need to hand over their fame and success to a band like Reflections.
I saw them on the Color Clear, and paid little attention to this album until the re-release. The riffs and solo work throughout are unreal for setting written that far back and when they were so young. Totally with you on one of those bands that needs to be heard and recognized the world over.
as a guitarist, and someone who writes my own music for my band (by myself), I was happy to see what looks like two friends playing something they made together, because that's something getting harder to find, musicians that play together who are also friends. These two guys probably worked relatively hard on their song and put it on youtube to share, basically for free, just to share their experience and possibly gain a fan base. but for whatever reason, the only thing i see is people bashing them for quality or whatever they can pick at. People chant about brotherhood in metal but there is none. The community has become so toxic i could grow a second dick if i stuck around too long. Appreciate music and musicians for what they are. If people keep it up like this, people like me, or like the guys in reflections, are going to stop making music for people like you.
***** You need a thick skin to release music publicly these days online, especially on youtube, because these kind of people that pick on irrelevant things for the sake of spite will always be there, and the more popular/viewed you become, the more of them will appear. Unfortunately that's life nowadays.
+colt culpepper "i could grow a second dick if i stuck around too long" that's not an expression heard very often. Might come in handy when dick one cant get it up, but dick 2 shows up to save the date :)
Charles and Patrick were unstoppable. This is the very song that got me into this band! The Redux version that came out last year is nice, but man not this nice haha
3:47 on has a special place in my heart
I will have to agree with you on that sir, this is my most favorite breakdown ever
And somehow, 9 years later, I’ve stumbled on a young Charlie
I love how Charles turns down his guitar at 3:00 even though they aren't plugged in, way to keep it real xD
im quite dissapointed now, i thought those guitars had bluetooth...
@@coldtruthobjective1778 it is bt bro, go check other playhroughs, look at the device they use. it’s hella small
@@Shadow0fd3ath24 it kinda looks like hes slightly turning it down with his middle finger
Still goes just as hard nearly 10 years later! Btw, who is managing this account these days?
10 years coming up real quick!! (;
and jake (yo!) handles all of the bands socials now
10 years later still the best play through on CZcams ❤️
This is the kind of shit I love about CZcams and the modern music scene. Two guys sitting in their living room, jamming in front of a PS3 gets 1.3 million views. No production value, no complicated or fancy camera work. Just ordinary dudes sharing something they created and finding an audience.
Sadly this is essentially a music video considering neither guitar is plugged in. But yeah mang
vinnykster We’re from the future relative to this guy’s original comment, and this didn’t turn out to be our present lmao.
@@tfwnoyandere you're an idiot who has no idea how much fakery goes into a playthrough. It's ok tho
Reflections, Textures, Volumes, Sturctures, Intervals did I forget any plural bandname all in the progressive metal genre?
I updated the list for you guys: Reflections, Textures, Volumes, Structures, Intervals, Monuments, Surroundings, Villains, Circles, Plateaus, Visions, Pillars, Novelists, Sirens, Theories, Trioscapes, Architects, Methiums, Tentities, Fractals, Fragments, Rectangles, Novelists, Currents, Columns, Ancients, Dialects, Envisionist, Perspectives
Love you guys. wow. truly legends. I'm honored to be a part of the legacy. og fan. i remember commenting when this first came out. The Fantasy Effect will stand the test of time, i tell you rn.
This is the best video of all time been watching it for over 10 years this song is soooooooo good
Thank you for this album, it has gotten me through some very tough times. Top 0.05% fan on Spotify last year 🤘
try watching this stoned as fuck, you don't know which guy to look at play. but you don't care cause you're in a state of amazement. holy shit that was great!
This is still one of the best djent songs of all time.
Been almost 10 years since I’ve seen them live. This shit still gives me goose bumps.
this is actually amazing i love how you harmonize almost every riff thats epic guys keep up the good work great song
I give all these dudes credit for all their hard work and compassion for the love of music...it runs deep in my veins as well...can't live without it!!
Damn you guys can rock it! Wasn't a fan of this music until I caught a shot of this video. Just amazing what you two are able to do. Have my support for sure! Keep shredding!
1:30 I get that it's been over a decade, but that riff though... that god damn beautiful chaotic riffs!!!!!!!!!!!!
Berry impressed.
Just discovered this band tonight. Fucking incredible work, boys.
I reckon if you guys want some free money, re-release this song on iTunes but as an instrumental version. I'd buy the song again without the vocals.
I've always had the instrumental I downloaded the original one time with vox By accident and as soon as I heard the vox I was like ah hell no!! Delete from Library..lol
Awesome collaboration peeps . Talent and work this is where you guys are . Excellence.
i've watched this probably 1000 times and every time I still watch it in awe
always plug guitars in before playing.
But they can do it without the amps during the playthrough. That takes skill.
Jordan Castro not really just blast the whole thing you recorded on speakers and you're good to go
you know nothing its ok ... try czcams.com/video/pW7QIqSl52Q/video.html then ..idk think about it
4:48 :) im pretty sure there plugged
1:38
The literal definition of a "screaming guitar"
you guys created some of the best music I've ever heard and everybody should at least appreciate your hard work and dedication
You guys are incredible! What a pair of guitarists!
Wow these guys make periphery look like a backstreet boys cover band.
Those fat grimoires on the shelf in the background explains this duo's supernatural talent. How Metal \m/
About 15 years ago maybe not that far back feels that long since I've been on stage but we played with these guys and watching them play lice changed my whole life. Especially this song.. It was incredible
Nice riffs and solo executions. Cool arrangement too!
The solo at 2:08 is so good. I’ve been bored of playing guitar lately and now I just gotta pick mine up again
I remembering this moment of my life during this listening.. magical ! Love you guys
Glad to see this album is finally on Apple Music! Been a fan of you guys since this play through was released!
The guy on the left, "Oy gevalt we are so good!"
I love this. I would just love it if you guys would release a remastered version of "The Fantasy Effect". While listening to the album, in a lot of parts, you can hardly hear the drums. And the guitars are super loud at some points.
True !! the solo of this song is a proof of that, in the album sounds the same! , high volume on that part! but i feel like i have no right to place a critic to these awesome musicians !!
Pablo De Nardo sure there is, everyone has the right to critique...... anything they like
Also it really bothers me that there are some guitar parts where you can hear that it's out of tune. I think "An Artifact" is the one with out-of-tune clean guitars.
bass is nonexistant too minus random background low sounds that mimic the guitars
Friend of mine shared this like 6-7 years ago here i am still listening to this. Amazing stuff
Doth thou even palm mute?
This is much better instrumental imo.
Tyler Rowley not to hate on the vocalist but I think reflections should be an instrumental band
Naaaaaaah i have been listening to this song for ten years and never put a thumb up?! I would put my two hands every day if I could, such a deuuuuuh djent, Thall must be proud!!!
These guys have the most beautiful slow sections, I love it!
So you're playing guitar now Glenn.
This is some bad ass shit right here!
SO pumped to see you guys next week!
Это прямо настоящий шедевр, от начала и до конца, просто бомба!
Why this band gets so much hate in these comments is beyond me... I think it's because once this video took off, people from other music types and shit came and just hated it, naturally. This isn't music for everyone, understandably, but to come here and bash it is useless. A waste of time, really. I like this band a lot. Real down to earth guys to talk to on tour and shit. Haters gon hate I suppose..
I think your brooms have a cold... I mean... sick sweeping. Cheers.
Still amazing, you guys have always been sick!! Still love this all these years later!
It was cool meeting you guys again. Thanks for coming to Colorado and making my head explode!
I like how the playthrough has about 12x more views than the song itself.
11 years later and I'm still wondering how the fuck they wrote this
I am getting simply amazed here!
every time i watch this it literally blows my mind i find something new that i like everytime
Un bail que jai pas vu une bonne compo comme celle ci...Franchement Whoaw
Forever a classic ❤
Just came to leave a comment after they've released the redux version of this album and I haven't been happier listening to this song!
this is absolutely awesomeness(awesome+madness)!!!
fret wizards , amazing
Sick AF is an understatement.
You guys are technical and so skillful, Sweep syncing. That's really incredible. Love you guys.
That feel when the bass drum is louder than everything else
Got their Cd 2 weeks ago and they know how to kill it in this genre.
Love love LOVE this tune!
Been watching since the day it came out, and ill always keep coming back
They sound better with unplugged guitar than I'm with plugged in.
really like how tight your noise gate is, well done on tone matching as well. keep it up!
So so awesome. Great job guys, look forward to learning your songs. Subbed!
Sometimes I wonder is Charles still has that seven string schechter
That bend riff for the chorus is some good shit man. Can't wait for their new album to come out, these guys are very talented musicians.
They look like they're having so much fun!!!
Is it that hard to understand that they recorded the video of them playing the song, and then layered the pre-recorded audio over it?
5 years later still one of my favourite breakdowns ever!
Love the album and song
The "just here shredding nothing special" faces are the best part
Damn im fucking impressed. This is type of music i love and respect. It sounds like The Locust band.
Great playing and I'm diggin the guitars!
This guys are amazing!
If you havent already.....go check out their album "The Color Clear"
its a masterpiece
you guys play amazing live! this is awesome!
this was awesome, you guys are really talented!

Always loved Reflections..always hated that soft snare from this album though...that was then bygones lol
@@mdiaz013184 Gave it more of a deathcore sound I think though, but thank you now I can't unhear it XD
But the guitar in this is so legendary
I've been listening to it the past couple of days and I can't stop! It's so brutal.
What guitars do you use
