Crazy to see Kiara's development as a person and as a star. Never had an Oshi before - as a grown ass 30+ y/o it always felt weird to me - but Kiara's legit become my Oshi.
From her streams with Gura at the beginning to her breakdowns, he struggles, her clawing herself back and her honestly reaching peak Kiwawa (for now) has been an amazing journey to watch and I hope she knows how much people care for her.
I used to be disappointed for her that she got saddled with a model that is not as "widely appealing" as some of the others, but honestly, I wouldn't change a single thing. She's made Kiara, KFP, and her brand of music her own and nobody could replace her.

There was never anything really wrong with her model in my opinion but i do agree with what you pointed out about the growth. I used to not care much for her for quite some time but over time, seeing how passionate she is about the whole vtubing/idol thing and how her effort bears fruit, it made me want to cheer her on and i will watch her journey as long as i can.

Kiara has spoken about it a bit too. The KFP /KFC theme is not something she'd have picked herself nor would have picked if she'd had the choice.
Compare it to a design like Gura. Gura is massively popular and a good bit of it is because of her personality for sure, but she also has a wildly popular model. Show it to most people and they'll enjoy it for its cuteness or style.
Meanwhile, lots of people online have said they don't really like the KFP design. The toy sword is now iconic, but at the very beginning it was meme'd on a lot. Kiara also spent a long time using other models just to get away from it.
It's not a bad model, but it's not as wildly appealing as the others of her gen. Just like Iris' model wasn't bad, it bad it wasn't as wildly appealing.

I can certainly see a lot of K-pop influences here in terms of the music video style, akin to the likes of especially K/DA's MVs. Kanauru certainly knows his stuff well. The choreography's also a lot more intricate and complicated compared to DO U's. Kinda reminds me either Shakira's or Britney Spears' dances. That goes for the song as well. Overall, a lot of pop influences with this one from both the eastern and western perspective. Almost like a tribute to genre itself as a whole. Nicely done, Kiara! And congratulations on the release of another single!
Honestly I think the pop/edm style music and choreography fits Kiara perfectly. Like some holo talents are singers, then you got Calli who has range but definitely is more pop and rap with some singing. Kiara's voice is too high and nasaly to be the best singer, but these songs suiy her perfectly. And I've been saying for a while she's great with learning and performing choreography. Her pop style, dancing, and outgoing personality are Kiara's strengths.

OMG, thank you!!! I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking of K/DA!!! I felt like this was like K/DA but E L E V A T E D which is really difficult because Pop/Stars and More are some of my favorite music videos ever, and Wawa and Kanauru just went and blew that out of the water. I won't ever be able to catch up to Sparks in my viewcount but this one is gonna be a big second place for me :D

Kiara has ascended in both vocals and choreography over the past few months. Don't misunderstand, I think all of her music has been really good as well as her dancing 100%. I'd say it started when DO U dropped and then POV sealed the deal: I noticed Wawa was breaking out of her comfort zone and really pushing herself into new territory. With Chimera I feel like we're seeing Wawa achieve greater heights vocally and through her dancing! She deserves all the praise in the world for blessing us with this and I hope to see more from her sooner rather than later 🙏

@@SalamPHI She recorded the choreography and vocals on her own using her new xsense suit, which is a more advanced tracking for her model that she can use at home. The data was rendered and animated by Kanauru so you're not wrong either, but it's all still her amazing work dancing and singing. She's really talented
The fact that at the beginning of the song there is two versions of Kiara, one in black clothing and one in white, then by the end of the song they fuse together to make black and white clothing is peak visual storytelling, truly a chimera

I am very impressed by how much lasting power the song has! I have looped it so much and I still want more and it sounds so good and fresh every time! I think Kiara and her team really have created their masterpiece (so far ) with Chimera! I kneel to Kiara's vocals in this song! She sings it perfectly in a way that really blends very well with the lyrics! The lyrics are amazing, feisty and powerful, and the ominous and strong bassline is a perfect foundation for the song! Everyone did so well! Ah and I could write whole paragraphs about the MV.. Big props to Kanauru! I appreciate the great ass-shot as much as the next KFP but personally there are just so many scenes and moves which are sexy and hot! And many cute and elegant ones too. It has it all. Kiara went all out! I am so proud of my oshi! It just feels so good to see her work up to now culminate in such an outstanding song and MV!

I've been listening to it all day at work and also in the car on the way home!! Everything is balanced so well. I tend to like songs that respond really well to the bass in my car and while this one doesn't go AS hard, the bass thumps are super punchy and the vocals come out SUPER clear!!! The team put together a real banger again!
THE MV OH MY GOOOOODDDDDDDD!!!! I don't know WHAT you're saying about the wobbly, the tracking is INCREDIBLE! All of the shots were super cool, everything went so good with the music, every time I think you've come up with something unstoppable you go AGAIN and step it up!

After listening to Chimera many many times, I will say it's probably a top 3 Wawa song for me.
TGW is still my unbeatable favorite, I absolutely adore that song, but Chimera is also an absolute banger, and climbed all the way to the top of my list incredibly quick

This is definitely one of the top songs in hololive. Even though Kiara isn't one of the hololive talents I follow, this song is really amazing. The MV is absolutely stunning. There was a fabulous cover of DO U as well. Up there with Suisei, Calli, or Moona's music stuff. Kiara's been on fire lately.

This song really has had an amazing story, from being an incomplete preview song chosen for a Eurovision application, then performed in Holo Fes where Kiara served (btw I love how Kiara is in her Holo Fes costume in the end), and now coming out with this amazing MV (Kanauru never misses man) for everyone to appreciate Kiara's amazing singing and dancing. Perfection 😌👌

Fantastic visuals, and there's definitely a part of me trying to assemble the different scenes into a coherent story or narrative or scene of some sort. Haven't really listened to the lyrics yet, I suspect that'll fill in a few gaps. I know making an MV like that takes a lot more time, planning, and revisions/etc. I do really like this virtual fantasy urban ancient mashup thing going on.

The overall atmosphere of the song has completely changed from Do U, and the level has become higher, and the rap part of the B part is so smooth that the lyrics come in.
And,I was able to hear the lines during the chorus of "Kimeri Yay Yay" in the MV, which I couldn't hear live, and I fell in love with "CHIMERA" even more! !

This is such a cool song, it feels really different and interesting. Also BASED that the composers took advantage of tencho's range with both lower vocals and high parts. She can sing really high but she can do so much more too!

CHIMERA is such a powerful song and a choreo to match it. After listening to it for the first time I already knew it would become one of my favorite Kiara songs.
