Working on Soil Health

I have seen and read a few articles on improving soil health and one of the most common suggestions is to spread worm castings and compost over the soil and let it work its way in. Another common suggestion is to fork (not till) the soil to add oxygen and to better allow the nutrients from the worm casting and/or compost to work their way down into the soil. So last night when I noticed it was going to rain ☔️, I went out and started forking the soil and then blindly threw amendments on top. Fingers crossed. 🤞
