  • Welcome to Kit & Gear!
This is Dell, and I finally did something about the saggy door nets on my Jeep Wrangler JKU. After looking at multiple products, I settled on the leather and canvas door pocket system from Overland Outfitters (www.overland-outfitters.com). This fix is a little more involved, installation wise, than some other products that just replace the net, but the final outcome is outstanding! The look is great, and the functionality is, hands down, better than so many of the other quick fixes.
In this video, I walk you through the installation, every step of the way, sharing tips, and yes, even a few mistakes. If this sounds like something that you would like to add to your Jeep JK or JKU, give this video a look, and if you are a gear junkie, like me, then please hit the SUBSCRIBE button, and together we will review and install some of the coolest kit & gear available for our favorite overland vehicle.

Great video. I definitely learned a lot. Would it be helpful to cut off the old netting before installation?

      Hi Bob,
You certainly could cut the old nets off, and it might make the install somewhat easier, but you really don’t have to. I don’t remember the nets being much of a problem. The real trick is getting the new pocket system over the door card. It will be a tight fit, with or without the net. Good luck, and enjoy that Jeep.

wouldn't it be easier to take the door off the hinge and lay it flat and then install? maybe so or maybe not???

      Hi bhoward3390,
You know, I’m not really sure it would make a big difference, one way or another, it’s still a tight fit, which you want. If you try it with the door off, let me know how it works out.

If your referring to the radio, yes the same kit that I have is available. Midland now has a new 50 watt in the same configuration. Go to midland USA.com, they are currently offering 23% off the MXT275 extended range bundle.
      Hope this helps.

Sorry, I responded about the wrong product.😂
Yes the door pockets are still available from overland-outfitters.com. Check the list of products at the bottom of the page, and click on door pockets. Hope this helps!

You said "How To Replace Sagging door nets ". You didn't do anything with the nets. Wasted quite a bit of time on your video before I realized you were just installing something I'd already looked at and rejected for being too expensive.
