    Great pianists, great pianos! Takeshi and Mina should have both played the NV5S and the NV10S; they played two different pieces after all. The NV10S is more of a concert piano than the more intimate NV5S.

    They shouldn't use the line out sounds they should have recorded the sounds from the studios. I've heard nv10 and 5 recorded in an acoustic studio and it's great.

    Kawai NV5S is a good hybrid piano..the action and response is excellent…btw, base on current market demand, most buyers should targeting the action mechanism & inner voice quality more on digital piano..most buyers of this type product will almost only fully using the instrument with putting headphone on without create external noise to neighboour where sound board and speaker will be a less value added features..hope one day Kawai may brave and innovative enough to release a similar version with directly removing the sound board & even output speaker..the cut budget of sound board & speaker may instead put on focusing the inner voice quality, grand piano action mechanism & responsiveness and allow 2 headphones output at the same time (produce a piano that only can be heard with headphone on)..this should will be a new game changer of this type product’s market and attracting many acoustic pianists..strongly suggesting Kawai may do the survey on that for the possibilities..

      Hello Chan You, thank you for your comment. Generally speaking, Kawai is focussed on developing instruments that appeal to as broad a range of consumers as possible. The Novus NV5S and NV10S are already relatively niche pianos, therefore removing the ability for either model to produce sound may impair their perceived viability as an acoustic piano replacement for a large number of customers. It should also be noted that many Kawai digital and hybrid piano instruments already incorporate two headphone connectors, and that both connectors can be used simultaneously. Thank you once again for your feedback, we will pass your comments on to the product planning department for their consideration.

      @@KawaiPianosGlobal , it is not suggesting to removing the current good features of NV5S instead hopefully one day Kawai may consider open a new product line that without the mentioned soundboard and speaker feature (but with grand piano action mechanism) as considered less value added feature to certain extent of buyers who worrying / limited by practice’s environment & hour especially on current society’’s modern living structure…Revolution always come from innovative & crazy ideas..anyway, definitely appreciating on the attention’s paid & feedback..

    I was excited owning one because I saw the best reviews. Now I have had nearly 2 years. I don’t think it is that worth. I could have spend less money with other digital piano. I realized that there are no Kawai special technicians. It took me over a year to have someone come to see my piano issues. He only solved one problem - pedal was not responsive . Still have squeaky noise . Also my piano has ringing sound issues , he had no clue. He said he was not Kawai tech? But general digital piano tech. I don’t feel much different from less priced kawai digital piano. If I could buy one , I’ll spend less money with other one.

      Hello Carol, yes both the NV5S and NV10S feature headphone connectors, allowing the instruments to be played silently.
      We would recommend the Kawai SH-9 headphones for use with Kawai digital and hybrid pianos:

      @Carol Zhang The NV10S and NV5S instruments use essentially the same keyboard action as their acoustic grand and upright piano counterparts, including the long wooden keys. For more information, please refer product pages at the following URLs:

    I bought NV5s a year ago and am a little disappointed. In the SK-EX settings, the sound is strangely reflected and "whistling". KAWAI EUROPE did not really help me with this problem. If the piano is close to the wall of the room, the sound is tragic. I'm playing on headphones, so I don't care. However, KAWAI is not as high-end as I imagined.

    How impressive to Fake a Real Acoustic Piano and sell it in the range price of the Real Acoustic.. I'd go for Acoustic, with a Silent System if needed...

    • @themike97_58
      @themike97_58 Před rokem +6

      acoustic with a silent system is much more expensive, than either of these. its a digital piano. its never going to sound perfect. what sets these instruments apart is that the action is real, so there is little compromise in feel.
