This isn't just similar it's a direct copy with different lyrics. Except even the lyrics are sung in the same way as Fade Into You despite having different words. I really want to know what the story behind this is.

Pretty sure Phoebe Bridgers cited Kozelek as a songwriting influence or at least inspiration (although after the allegations against him came out in 2020 she might feel differently about him, but I think the musical connection still stands) and the intro of this song and "Moon Song" off her 2020 album remind me of each other.
