Great disassembly video! This is a very well-built speaker! People should watch this before opting for a “cheap”, Chinese , obscure brand speaker (I put cheap in quotes because they’re about half the price of this one but they are really, really bad). Kudos for the great content 😊
This new speaker design, in comparison to the old one, is well crafted for efficient heat dissipation. The box is skillfully designed to act as passive cooling, reducing heat from the motherboard and power supply. This effective cooling occurs because the woofer moves air in and out, effectively dissipating heat. It's a well designed feature adopted from JBL for this speaker design.
Hi Is it possible to use the samsung mx-st50b as a batteryless speaker and keep it plugged in (ac plugged) all year round? Or does it cause damage to the battery and risk of fire?
chargers arent meant to be used as a power supply in general , except for the ones laptop use etc, if the charger is lower wattage/volts ( lower than what the amp and speaker needs) i would not do that it wil stress the charger to much, also depends on the parts used, also always check if the dc or ac is supported, it could have a dc amp power circuit but a ac charging port
Researching mxst50b vs mxst5cb I found samsung has online a dissasembly manual for the st5cb 210watt version which a lot are available refurbished for cheap. No manuals available for other mx series towers, just the st5cb. But mainboard part number shown for it is AH81-15605A which details for it on samsung parts show SVC JDM-PCB-MAIN;08-0MXB50-MA0. The omxb50 leads me to think its same board the mx-st50b uses. Did you note any board numbers down while you had this apart? Wondering if you could confirm the mainboard number. Thanks
good teardown sir i have a question plz help Modifying a Party Speaker into hifi 2.1 system !! i have another top model of same Samsung T70 it has 2 Tweeter 150W x 2, 12 ohm 2 Middle 300W x 2, 6 ohm 1 Woofer 600W x 1, 3 ohm ---------------------------------------------------- it has all components needed to build a 2.1 hifi system but i canot use it as a party box bcz it dont has seperate control for woofer tweetr and mids will play altogether i like seperate volume controls so i can tune according to the song ------------------------------------------------------ i also use for watchin movies so i need channel seperation ------------------------------------------------ so i will remove the tweeter and mid woofers and place them in a new custom made wodden cabinet ------------------------------------------------- but i need to attact a volume control will a pentiometer attached work as volume control how to control volume in high output wire juzz before connecting to speaker is it possible

@@Techscrews I got the Mx ST5CB and I tested it against my JBL Encore and the Encore sounded better and had a lot more bass, overall the encore actually seemed more powerful, I ended up returning the Samsung, it didn’t make sense to use such a large speaker that didn’t sound any better then the Encore.
Thinking about purchasing a few of these for surround sound, however can I just disconnect/remove the battery when they eventually die and just use the speaker with the power cord?
