- In this video, we take a look at how to perform some of the basic combos with the D/D/D deck that I just used to place in top 32 at YCS Hartford. Thank you to everyone who has seen my deck list and requested this combo video. I also want to thank everyone online who has congratulated me on my top 32 finish. Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any other questions you may have about the deck or how to play it. I’m happy to help people learn the deck. Check out my old channel here. I will be uploading this video to that channel as well, and most likely posting any future content on that channel as well.

I got absolute wrecked at my regionals with DDD back in April. I was so confident, knew the top meta as I actually played them, knew my deck very well, knew these combos but I still got shat on lol I’m proud of you, nice feat of getting top 32 with DDD!! 🕺🕺❤️❤️
Did you play D/D/D or did D/D/D wreck you?
This is exactly what I needed to see before my regionals this weekend! Thanks!
You're the best bro!! Thankyou so much for this. You inspire me to keep improving with D/D/D!
use to play d/d/d long time ago and been looking forward to the vid to help catch me up thank you!
Thank you!!!!
can you provide decklist ?
Hello, im a bit late, but congratulation for the top!
What do you think about the new Muckraker From the Underworld link, would it be playable since all of our monsters are Fiends? It can help with discarding our bricks maybe, and Nibiru/Board clear protection?
There really is not space to run that card, it is mediocre at best. Every card in the extra deck is basically required. Also doesn’t protect from nib. Thanks for your comment.
could you make a video specifically talking about the theory of playing around handtraps and combo-sequencing with ddd?
Things have changed quite a lot in the format since I made this video. It's honestly really tough for DDD to compete in the current format. It's very hard to play around bystials with the deck, because they can usually chain it to necro slime, or a genghis/ragnarok effect. Ishizu cards are also a problem because they ensure you won't resolve necro slime/genghis/ragnarok. The original Baronne combo that plays around nibiru loses really hard to a bystial banishing gryphon. Even if every combo is done optimally, there are too many interaction points in the current format which DDD cannot play through well. Imperm on gilgamesh also hurts quite alot, and the only ways to play around that are setting up baronne first, or using kepler/copernicus effects first and hope the opponent doesn't know how to play against you and burns the imperm early. Hope this gives a bit of insight around how DDD interacts with handtraps right now, even if it may not be the most positive. Once we see serious hits to ishizu tear I think the deck could be playable again.
I have a question hopefully someone answers. When you activate Dark Contract with the Gate (activate from hand), do you/can you also activate the "add 1 DD from deck to hand" effect? Or do you need to have the Card Activation resolved first? Many times I activate Dark Contract with Gate from hand, and if my opponent does not respond, I immediately add a DD to hand. I'm asking so that moving forward, I don't break any game rulings. Thank you
First activate the card. Then you have to activate the effect (like an ignitoon effect from Monster)
What would you say is the worst matchup for D/D/D in the current meta?
Let me answer that for you, Floowandereeze, 100%
Everything including itself
I already got a combo to summon all 3 kings (not high kings)
Greetings, I understand that due to the effect of Ragnarok or the fusion, it is only if a D/D card is specially summoned, and the ones you summon are D/D/D, aren't you solving it wrong?
D/D/D cards are also D/D cards, because D/D is included in D/D/D
@@mattbeck6124 I used to play it that way before, but they tell me that the effect doesn't apply, so I don't understand anymore, I think I'll check the rulling well, even so I appreciate your help
@@elgatodelataberna9812 they are lying to you. unless it specifies you can only summon D/D/D, per example with Vice King Requiem, which only allows you while on field to summon D/D/D monsters, any other monster with D/D in their name, even D/D/D, can be summoned.
@@Madheim777 thanks bro
@@elgatodelataberna9812 no problem!
@Matt Beck Is this deck viable without baron? I'm super budget and want to build it but baron is at 130$ rn
I played it without Baronne for a little while. It’s doable but not nearly as strong. You will lose to nibiru much more without it. I don’t think I would have topped the YCS without it. But if you’re just playing local tournaments, you can probably get by without Baronne.
@@mattbeck6124 sadly that means no for me damn.
yeah the deck is playable at a local level without baronne, subbing in a third copy of machinex, second zeus, or second high caeser is working alright for me. also worth looking at psychic end punisher that card is nuts
@@mattbeck6124 i am testing the deck without barone and yes the deck can lose to nibiru, but i think that if you play correctly you can play araound It , baronne simplify the way you play against hand trap ,you can play araound nibiru with zero king and swirl Slime(depends on the hand) you can also if you want to play araound nibiru Just summon Gilgamesh, then summon deus ex which Will be the 4 th summon ,if you cant play baronne you have to be a really good pilote,i suggest playing Kali yuga which Is insane going second and against traps ,over all i think that without baronne the deck still strong ,you have to be a really good pilote and not only Just learn the combos ,i May Be wrong
so in the first co…bo u went through evey copy if gilgamesh does that matter or no?
Usually it doesn’t, it’s nice to have one left after you do a combo, but most of the time it’s not needed. In all my games I think it only came up once where I wanted another copy after using all 3 turn 1
@@mattbeck6124 another question if u dont mind why do people use d/d savant thomas, d/d vice typhon and when do they come up in a duel?
@@mattbeck6124 Is this deck viable without baron? I'm super budget and want to build it but baron is at 130$ rn.
@@tonyt2845 Thomas enables certain combos with certain hands and is a staple to run for it. It also gives nice advantage for recycling. Typhon gets you flame high king Genghis and is integral to some combos but mostly aids in pushing for game or extending past cards like nibiru
@@Grimmfairytail you need Baronne, you can run berfomet in the main deck if you can’t get Baronne to do another anti nibiru combo, but the value Baronne gets you is irreplaceable in all honesty and is mandatory to run
