Hi. We visited Carcassonne midweek over two days, and between 12 and 3, as most of the other visitors seamed to be having lunch or an afternoon nap. Some areas do get naturally busy, especially around the tourist shops, but there are so many little lanes and alleyways its easy to avoid them. have a great trip
