âi feel as if my existence is slowly drifting off, like shattering crystals of snow raising one by one from a bed of fog. like smoke emanating from an ancient pyre far below. praise sweet saint of ember who shatters the night sky like a fine film of ice, melting its tempting curls with wreathes of cold blue flame. praise fair snow-cloaked princess in her lustrous sea of black and gold, born anew each night into a perpetual obsidian dark. is there any space left for an existence such as mine? is there an onyx demon who can plunge to my depths, a wild saint who can navigate this abyss? i can still feel the suns suffusion, it lingers in my dreams⊠but it is fleeting. my memories of those feral overflowing gardens above are sifted finer and finer as the days pass. just ghosts in the sunâs haze, drifting backwards through the light. a crazed sanctuary woven breathlessly from fragments of the past. a past that down here, motionless to those above, loses all meaning. just a gnarled shadow. twisted umbra⊠goddess of the hollow.â

Just realized the covers are reverse of each other. One has thorns for a halo and the other dosen't. Both have moons opposite to each others position. And one city girl is wearing white the other black. Ones down to earth the other is in the clouds or space

I'm noticing City Girl is collaborating a lot more with Tiffi with each album and adding a lot more vocals for songs, not that I'm complaining of course, Tiffi and City Girl are an absolute dream team.
Also love the seamless mixing of more melancholy lo-fi moments with the more aggressive and lively synth through the songs.

I know I just finished listening to this but I must admit that this album really is the showstopper. The quality of City Girl's production on these two albums is monumentally outstanding. But wow...this album in particular is truly incredible.
City Girl, it's been a long time since I've felt genuine euphoria. But you have provided it in spades all over this record. I think you have achieved a perfect balance with your artistry. On one hand you can be very minimal, subdued and beautifully subtle. But on this you've melded that side of your style into this vast, spacious, and even experimental vision that blossoms to create these perfectly sequenced intergalactic grooves that are so delicately bathed in such a lush vibrant atmosphere. These songs are gentle but they are simultaneously complex and electrifying. I also very much appreciate the meticulous detail you provide with all the instrumental layering. It all swells into this mesmerizing eclipse of peak excellence in the genre of beat-making.

anybody else continue to come back to Goddess of the Hollow? I love it. In 20 years I will surely be 44 and listening to this still.
I was feeling a bit distressed because I have to prepare materials for a gallery exposition in August and I had no ideas,
but now I'm resting a bit easier. I know city girl's albums always inspire me. ^_^
I'm sure this is going to be an amazing experience.
I listened to this album while taking a long heated bath in a hotel room that overlooked a night lit marina and a broad expanse of bay water, a bright moon glistening off the waves, and I have never felt more at peace or one with the energies of life and existence.

Hey, it's me. The guy who commented about your music reminding me of Minecraft music. This album gives me flashbacks of Adventure Time. I used to watch it a lot as a kid and you keep me surprising me with all these tunes giving me these flashbacks of things I've experienced in the past. Like, these tunes are giving me serious Marceline vibes and I love it. I don't know any other artist who can give me these memories through music, thank you so much!

I am going to buy both your albums as soon as my next paycheck comes in. I love how this album continues that deep, hyper space, cosmic synthwave energy that city girl explored in Chroma velocity while experimenting with more somber and melancholy inducing tones and chords from all her other albums, and Tiffi sounds better than ever! This feels and sounds like the continuation of the story set in Chroma velocity. Honestly this album made me feel like I was walking around in the world of Hyper Light Drifter, if anybody knows what that is.

I'm so excited about this.
this has been the one thing that's been keeping me afloat during this sea of stormy, unclear waters. City girl's new albums. it's the thing keeping me sane, the hope that's keeping me afloat while my thoughts try to drag me down and drown me. It propels me during the hardest moments.
Tomorrow, when this comes out, I'm going to listen to it while doing my homework and feel so at peace, so glad that I've put up with hell to listen to this.
I'm currently listening to City Girl's music right now, all her full albums on shuffle. and I feel so so happy right now. It reminds me of why I listened to your music in the first place, It reminds me of nostalgic and better times.

This is honestly hands down my favorite album by city girl, and that's saying something because I really like them all. There is just something to this one that really sticks out.
drawing at night with this music is the best thing ever
So strange how time flows, elegant and honest, moments pass through us like sand and we go from one huge moment to another whilst we are barely aware of it. I remember when this album came out, and I carry strong memories with it. I hear the first melodies of this track and instantly its three years prior and I'm on my bed, with my cat, playing hollow knight and the room is neither too warm nor too cold and it carries the scent of honey suckle from outside and that scent wafts in. In that moment I am at peace. I truly do love this album.

I love lo-fi, and since i discovered City Girl common lo-fi seems boring and repetitive, but this new albums are crazy, its not lo-fi anymore, its somehow magic, melancolic, sad, euphoric, it changes constantly, love it

This album was so surprising in such a good way! I was expecting gorgeously chill music, but I was not at all expecting mysterious, nocturnal, magical girl dance floor witch City Girl (+ Tiffi) at all. Your sound has gotten so lush! The vocals and production on every single song on this album are absolute fire together. The way this and Siren beautifully contrast each other is wonderful and lights up the part of my brain that makes music (and therefore life) worthwhile. Beautiful album/s. â„ I've enjoyed hearing you evolve as an artist so much.
