The McConnell Method

Want a behavior to stop? Just get out your camera, phone, or other recording device, make sure it’s charged up, and hit “record.” I can’t count the number of times I’ve tried to record a behavior and have it cease, but ONLY if it’s charged, the lens isn’t blocked, etc. In this video, Skip and visitor Bliss had been playing hard when I finally got it together to put my phone on video. Then, of course, it stopped. Granted they are tired, and distracted for a moment by Jim walking up to fill a water tank, but still. If it happened once when I was trying to record a client’s dog’s behavior, it happened thousand times.
