I finally found a review on these gloves, thanks for the video !!!
GnidoBelka Thanks for watching and commenting! Glad you found the video! I hope it was a help. These are great gloves.
iv had a few softer mechanix gloves give down the finger seams . the mpacts in coyote iv used all year are holding up ok . for £27 iv ordered a pair in black to ,
Glad someone did a video of these. Just picked up small pair for my pistol & AR. Hope they hold up. My Mpact's have lasted years
Cunningham1420 Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful! I’ve had a few pair of these and with normal wear they’ve lasted me about a year until the finger tips started to come apart at the seams. They still could be worn in this condition but this has been my experience. Hey if you’re interested at all in watches I’ve reviewed a number of them on my channel, I encourage you to check them out!
Thanks for the review. I was about to buy the Original but do you think these Specialty 0.5mm are a better choice for shooting and driving?
They really need to fix that finger rear issue
Jacob Brown Thanks for watching! I’m not sure if you’re into watches but I have an amazing watch giveaway going on on my channel if you wanted to enter!
I always see mechanix gloves finger tips absolutely shredded and yet I've been using the same pair for 2 years as an LEO and not a single finger has torn.
Thanks for your service as an LEO and thanks for sharing your experience with these gloves! If you like wrist watches I hope you'll check out some of my other content!
are these touch screen compatible?
the pictured gloves iv had 2 fails with . get the mpact's
I find they fit nice aapart from the index finger and thumb are a little tight compared to everything else...anyone else?
At 7:08 as you are demonstrating the trigger finger flex joints the stitching at the base of the trigger finger appears to be bad. Yet they are new?
treecatt The brown ones are new but I think I got a defective pair or somehow they cut ripped before I made the video. I didn’t notice this until I made the video.
Are these gloves made only for shooting or is it also a good pair for like outdoor bushcrafting to protect for example splinters ?
Ryan Kanters Thanks for watching! I would say these gloves would not be good for bushcraft type activities. The material on the palms of these gloves is very thin and probably would not hold up very long in those situations.
@@TheTownWatch ah! Thanks for your fast reply! Ive been looking around and saw a youtuber using the mechanix original they look pretty sturdy and he used them for bushcrafting. Gonna try that one
Any thoughts on them for hiking with hiking poles? Looking for a lightweight glove that has plenty of flex in them
These have great dexterity but ultimately I don't think they are good for any real hard use since the palm area is so thin. Might be worth a try though. Thanks for watching!
Ascension bay- glacier gloves. The best trekking pole gloves for summer.
Got them for 18 bucks on amazon.
Just received a pair of 0.5's off amazon that don't have the holes in the palm? 🤔 Fakes? They feel a little tight too in finger length.
Can you wear them in Winter?
Hetal Patel I do wear them in the winter but they do not do much to keep your hands warm!
Your channel got an award on my video, Watch Channel Awards - Mid 2020 Edition.
@@TheTownWatch John McManus who operates Watch Reviews 4K is who I was talking about.
Syndicated Satellite I don’t think I’m familiar. I’ll have to check him out.
@@TheTownWatch All you have to do is google his name along with pimp. Also Christopher over on It's Complicated did a video about John McManus.

7:07 looks like the stiching is already broken at the Brand New gloves
Yes, you're right. I'm not sure why this was happening I could have received a defective pair. Thanks for watching.
in my opinion they are too slippery. not a fan. what do you think? Mine are brand new maybe this will become better or i get used to it. but dexterity is great i typed this comment with them on.
Good typing with the gloves on! 😅 I haven't found them to be slippery. Thanks for watching!
If I need to wear gloves..then I get gloves that are good gloves and gloves that also are thin gloves so when I'm wearing gloves my gloves don't get in the way while I'm wearing gloves or shooting guns while I wear gloves so the gloves have to be good gloves
I was just being goofy. But yeah..the mechanix gloves are all pretty good. I have a pair of the black vent covert and a thicker coyote tan padded knuckle pair from walmart and they are pretty awesome. Definitely worth the buy and have many different types for the different weather occasions. Have a good one yall.
they are touch friendly?
PedroFPAC MARE They have been in my experience. Once they were broken in for a little while I found them to work with my phone just fine.
Good for answering phone calls, checking messages, quick dialing,.... other than those, these gloves are really not that "touch-screen friendly"
003 TheZG I agree, though I have also sent text messages wearing these gloves but I have to admit there was no fast typing!
Yes they are touch friendly. If you touch them they will not come alive and bite you.
It doesn't strike you as kind of paranoid to choose the type of gloves that you wear based on how well they'd perform in a situation where you'd need to pull your gun out while you're wearing them?
You do know that these gloves are made exactly for that purpose right??? To use them while shooting guns... Thanks for watching.
These gloves are TERRIBLE for shooting firearms. I dont understand why these exist.
During the sale this holiday season I purchased a bunch of mechanix gloves including these. I have a very different opinion of these. I think theyre absolutely useless in function. What exactly is the purpose of these?? To look cool? They offer extremely little protection, hardly any grip to grasp anything ESPECIALLY a firearm, which with the tactical nameplate thats very asinine, and durability is non existent. 1 out of 10 is my score. Theyre not tactical whatsoever. Putting those gloves on your hamds only puts you at a disadvantage. The best gloves they have in the thinner category is the specialty vent. leaps and bounds better than these. I put them through a durability test lugging and sanding shiplap lumbar to accelerate wear. They have exceeded expectations. The .5mm would had made my job more difficult, offered zero protection and be destroyed by now. I wouldnt purchase these if they where $3.
