If you watched today's match you would see how unorganized Barca was in the enemy half, misplacing passes , losing possession easily etc. When Messi came things became more organized and the passes started connecting in the final third.

In my eyes Lionel Messi is the greatest ever player to set foot on a football pitch. I have not seen a another player in history who has mastered all the offensive attributes of a game.

Ter Stegen 2nd best player, Pique rised up when we needed him the most to take control of our defense, Alba has been exceptional, Lenglet has come in and done a good job, Rakitic has been instrumental. I love Messi and absolutely think he is the greatest player of all time, but show some respect for the rest of the Barcelona team! Pique and Alba arguably played their greatest club seasons I have ever seen, and Ter Stegen consistently made massive saves in big moments this year. Not only were these defenders great under Valverde (which is something Barcelona has been struggling with for a while now), but Arthur, Rakitic, Busquets, and Vidal played a massive part in bossing the midfield, tackling, and pressing constantly every game. Even Suarez still had a great season I think if you look at how many pure strikers actually scored more goals than him the top 5 leagues this year. He does a lot more for Barcelona than people give him credit for, and I love that he always gives 100 percent effort even when the fans are breathing down his neck from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I think this was one of Messi's greatest seasons which is really saying a lot considering how unreal he has been, but even he would be the first to tell you that it takes a an entire team to win championships. Messi will always be the difference maker and greatest, but please show some respect to the other men on Barcelona is all I ask!

As Ray Hudson says, he's an insane talent. I watched the game today. After coming on at halftime, he was barely into the game at all. Had a few weak shots, one nice, bursting run, a nice pass or two, but that was it. Despite that, when the team needed him most, he scores the only goal of the game to clinch the title. Wednesday can't come soon enough.

Best i've ever seen and it aint even close. I saw Cristiano Ronaldo consistently in his years at United live, and he was never ever as good as Messi even as a teenager. Ronaldo from 2006 was a player you thought could be unpredictable at times but it never came to anything. When I saw an 18 year old Messi at SB in 2006, I near shit myself whenever he was near our goal. He outshine Ronaldinho massively and since then he's gone on to be a better player than Maradona and as good a goalscorer as Gerd Muller. A scary talent who won't truely be appreciated until he retires.
