my go to recently are those Street 'Lupes with extra chicken add jalapenos. best LTO item they ever had on the menu imo. My old go to was a shredded chicken quesadilla melt wrapped around a beefy fritos burrito. both 1 dollar menu items combined to make something magnificent that would probably cost like 4 dollars at the time.
The one thing I miss most from TB is their Fries Supreme. It was baked fries with basically the nachos grande toppings. It disappeared at the same time as McD's chicken fajita so there was speculation that they made a deal to get rid of each of them.
I miss the churros they used to have! Also, the cheesy Gordita crunch used to be affordable back in the day I don’t know how they went wrong with that.
The cantina chicken is elite!! My favs are the 3 cheese chicken flat bread and the spicy potato taco. The cantina quesadilla is bomb cause it comes w quac and sour cream and that avocado salsa

My favorite TB item is the Cheesy Bean & Rice Burrito. I add cheese, 3 cheese blend, fiesta strips, seasoned beef and seasoned potatoes. I also have it grilled. That takes the price from $1.19 to $4.79.

Very solid choices. Their fries are surprisingly good, heck my Mom loves them and she normally doesn't like fries. Their sauces are great, and I don't mean the ones in the packets, I mean their chipotle, their jalapeno ranch, even their cheese sauce. All are top notch. The packet sauces, I do like the avocado salsa, but i prefer the Fire to the Diablo even though I am a "spicy" fan, but to me the Diablo isn't as hot nor as flavorful as the Fire...but that's IMHO. Love their Cantina Chicken, just SO good and SO much better than their old chicken. Thanks for sharing!
I enjoy Taco Bell. My most commonly ordered item is the bean n cheese burrito, as nacho sauce, add jalapeños. For a bargain, make it a cheesy bean n rice burrito, add onions, red sauce, and jalapeños. Also their regular crunchy tacos❤ My favorite taco was their double decker with the beans between the soft and crunchy tortilla, it became a perfect protection and nothing would fly anywhere, lol.. They do it now with cheese, but I far prefer the beans in between, I suppose one could request the modification... And, last but not least, ample packets of fire sauce, I literally squeeze one packet per bite, it's so freaking good. Taco Bell is a funny place for me. Used to be my fav fast food as a kid and teen (I am 40, so I am a product of the 90s) and I guess it still is, but no matter how many times I go back to it, I am always disappointed lol. Not gonna go on a rant on how back as a kid and teen it was so much better (even though it really was) but I gotta comment on the employees and ingredients. Forget about the crazy inflation past 4 years, the workers that I’ve experienced in stores I live by, just suck. And they get paid like double or more the amount that I got working in fast food as a side job in 2018, for some gas $. Only had one person who was a youngin (looked to be about 19 or 20) in 2019 who seemed to be in a good mood and actually made eye contact with me and had a smile. Guy was a champ. Besides him, just lazy ass kids doing less than bare minimum and getting paid a premium for fast food work (I’m in Cali right now). The ingredients are probably the same more or less as they were 20+ years ago, they taste the same anyway, but it’s the skimpiness of them that has been present since at least 2014 and so on. Never worked at TB but I’m guessing shrinkflation was forced on the workers at that job, too, and it shows. Sh*t was so much more bigger and thicker in 90s early 2000s. I always crave the crunchwraps and they always look so sad and almost paper thin. I don’t get it. The only thing I feel alright ordering are the cheesy bean and rice burritos. I like the bean and cheese burros better but for some reason they are like twice as much. Used to go crazy on the tostadas, reg or spicy, but they took them out. I also don’t like to complicate the order so I don’t pull any secret menu sh*t and risk pissing off an already moody depressed/aggressive kid worker lol.
