What I Do For A Living - Long line Halibut Fishing

- This video is multiple days combined, so it can be confusing to some.
On the first day, I used 4 800 meter long lines with frozen and imported bait and caught 287kg of Halibut.
On the second haul, I used 2 800 meter long lines with fresh local harvested bait and caught 290kg of Halibut.
Each tub can hold 1600 meters of long line.
Which is 2 800 meter lines.
The depth of the water where I set the lines is around 480 to 520 meters deep.

@@isakdreyerII We fish for Greenland Halibut in our fjords in Nuuk. We set the lines at a depth of approximately 500-600 meters.
Strange that the halibut are all exactly the same size 🤷♂️
they was not but moust of them was in the same range just like our frash water lining
Good ethics in Denmark say 45 cm. as a minimum size for halibut, but good ethics are not used in Greenland. 😒👎
