FILM DESCRIPTION:
High school basketball coach John Harrison and his team face an uncertain future when their town's largest manufacturing plant shuts down unexpectedly. As hundreds of people move away, John reluctantly agrees to coach cross-country, a sport he doesn't even like. His outlook soon changes when he meets Hannah Scott, an unlikely runner who pushes herself to the limit. Inspired by the words and prayers of a new friend, John starts to train Hannah for the biggest race of her young life.

Really good movie. Cross Country was such a big part of my life in my school years. I watch this clip and it's like I'm right back there (i'm 55 years old now). This scene was so good in the film, had a lump in my throat and found it quite emotional to watch.
Tips for cross country?
Absolutely one of the most valuable movies I have ever seen. I have wondered if it is based on a true story. If not, what an amazingly written script.

Her Dad was in the hospital, Mom dead, and Grandma was way outside watching with not a great view. The coaches busted butt and went to her though.

Couple of points: 1. i am crying 2. the headset is totally illegal 3. Medical emergency and the guy tells them to move off the finish line, no. 4. and heart will win every time but her running form for winning CC?
If you watched the movie they changed the rules before the race to allow the headset. I agree on the guy telling them to move from the finish line....uhm, like they just had a scary moment here.
