For me that would require like 3-4 more months' worth of growth out, (I'm growing out from a "crew cut") plus heavy relaxer to get it that straight, the latter of which is what I'm trying to avoid. Relaxer all my life (I'm 53) is what has made it break out so much that I periodically go with a "crew cut" just to get rid of all the "damage."
This was the go to 90's style with the same flip up in the back. Still flawless style!

Yes!!! I’m working on that now.
Don’t comb through your new growth while you are styling. Try to finger detangle and use the tension method when blow drying instead of a brush or comb xtension to avoid the breakage. And work in atleast 4-8 sections for combing and work for
Ends to roots. And relax every 2 months. Wash and deep condition your hair every 3 days or once per week to keep it moisturized

Definitely will consider trying this, question is can I sleep with these on, do they not poke or something like that? Can they last a week on the head ?
Yes you can sleep with them but I would do it to often because they will start to hurt your scalp
