When watching him play, Shedeur plays like an NFL qb already. movement in and out of the pocket, throwing, he's the total package at about 70% readiness. I also love Rattler. Both guys are franchise QBs if they get out of their own way

I'm really struggling whether to devy Shedeur or Ollie Gordon. Head says Shedeur but heart says Ollie. Been burned last couple years taking Raheim and Sean Tucker when they were devy darlings, so really not sure. What would you do?

As a student at liberty, I would like to point out that salter has been dealing with injuries to his throwing arm, I do think he will have a good year this year and propel himself into day 2-3 range

@@HailMarySports oh adding another thing, the reason why he overran was because that zip he has on the ball was non existent because it the injury to the arm. And he tried to make up for that with comical amounts of scrambling and playmaking

How do you grade "processing" just from watching film?
Great question-
It is projection of course since we don’t have a play call or don’t know the progressions, but it is possible to limit the possibilities and get a handle for what should happen.
That all being said, here is how I attempt to grade it-
Do you make a good decision or force reads (any qb can throw to someone they’re told to, but few can really deviate when the time is right)
Do you go through progressions (esp when the play breaks down)
Do you make a bad play better or worse
Those are the fundamental pillars of thought

As a Clemson fan, I fully believe Trent Pearman will earn the starting job at some point this upcoming season. If he does, How would you rate him off the small sample size we have. I think he could be incredible, I personally believe he's a lot better than Klubnik.

Riley Leonard will only get better running notre Dame offense under our new offensive coordinator Mike denbrock who coached 2nd pick Heisman trophy winner jayden Daniels along with possibly the #1 tight end in Mitchell Evans if he comes back healthy along with the other offensive weapons notre Dame will have

He says Kaidon Salter is the worst playmaker he's ever graded when talking about his mobility... he ran for 1000+ yards and 12 TDs I'm confused 😂
Playmaking is far more than being able to run vs subpar defenses
It takes into account how they process when a play breaks down and if they turn negatives into positives at a translatable level
I did find out Kaidon was hurt last year, so his grade is definitely open for changing once healthy
Also, I never did a full deep dive of a class and graded this many QBs, so there def have been plenty that were worse- I just didn’t fully grade those players

It was Jason Bean who is a backup for Kansas behind Daniels so probably not an NFL prospect 😅 guess the game I saw was a fluke

So just bc he threw a long ball means his ball velocity being mediocre is inaccurate?
@@HailMarySports No, I personally think it’s more of an issue of knowing when to throw with velocity vs touch, rather than having poor arm strength. JJ McCarthy had the opposite issue, used too much velocity at times, when more touch was needed
ur list gaslights tf out of me lol We evaluate differently, it depends on POV, you grade harshly, sir. my main questions would be, with riley Leonard did you account for 2022 did you see him play Kansas and north Carolina that year? or just watch 2023? particularly regarding the deep ball? which salter games did you watch? How do you separate the big numbers he put up last year from ur eval? because statistically he's at liberty cooking, iike top 5 in everything that's important type cooking. also do you think its fair to grade Nussmeier with such a low rep count? i tend to think ur right on several guys tho, ur grades just throw me off a bit. i do think you might be underrating certain guys like dart, where i'm not saying his arm is golden or anything, but i have seen him drive it 65 yards, where, it's good enough to play well in the league, potentially. and i fear ur overrating Gabriel a TAD. i'm open to the idea he's improved, i just can't get the hospital balls he's thrown in the past out of my mind and i'm not sure he anticipates well at all honestly. but who knows? we'll see once i dig into the tape.

I'm going to "pile on" here because I have questions too. Like, I can respect the difference between your grades and your projection, but shouldn't the order be based on projection?? Doesn't make sense to me that you have a 'top 100' projection on a guy you ranked higher than another prospect with a 'top 64' projection, for example. Secondly, I specifically have questions on your Carson Beck evaluation and his precision (won't argue the arm strength or processing points tho)... I say this as someone who watched almost every rep he put on tape last year 4-5 times -- unless he's unable to step into his throw /gets hit while throwing /etc -- Carson is *extremely* precise. I can find 5-10 throws to Bowers and McConkey where Carson seems to be throwing inaccurately, but he's actually setting them up for RAC or to avoid big hits. That's intentional, my friend, and it's an elite trait.
