I have watched this scene and heard this speech for hundreds of time until now and i still get chills all over each time . I sincerely hope for myself that I never ever get used to this scene .
Also as a student of history and coming from a land which has seen massive bloodshed due to invasions , this is one of the best piece of historical realism ever portrayed in the history of visual arts . I am just thankful that it exists .

This really shows you how AOT is more realistic compared to life, when they said "there's a chance he'll be fine" or "he's going to survive", it goes to show you how much other animes give a child-like optimism in such scenes but AOT really showcase how much truth & pain there is when there's really no other option

I envy people who were patient enough not reading the manga. This scene no longer had impact when I watched it. Sad.
The entire 3rd season wasn't that impacfull to me for that reason. Of course this and other momento was execute at peak level, but knowing something beforehand take some away

That's what made Erwin the best leader of the serious. After his death nothing remained the same. Hange failed to fill in the shoe. Good thing Eren stood up, but if Erwin lived he'd have gone along with Eren's plan in a heartbeat!
