- So I made this in five days to be exact. And I think it's pretty good considering. It's rather simple but I feel like it required that kind of editing. It's kind of a sum up of their story yet I can't seem to get myself to add the box scene. lol Tho I probably could have found a way to stick it in there at the end but whatever. Hope whoever watches this enjoys it because this is most likely going to be my second & last Owen/Margaret video ever. XD But I will definitely continue to vid BE. That I know won't be stopping. lol

Just gonna pin this comment here and say that if you're not a fan of the ship, then plz don't watch or comment then. This is for the people who genuinely liked their pairing. It's not as frequent now but it's kinda annoying getting the hate comments for the ship when it obviously wasn't made for you. If you can't tell by the video, clearly, I don't care. lol

@@ppap9818 honestly neither of them were faithful to each other (Nucky was sleeping around with Billie long before Margaret went there again with Owen) and the marriage was a sham anyway. This was hardly the show to look for good morals from the characters lol

@@daymeetsnight21 Still adultery is adultery. And no matter how "modern" society tries to equate men and women, it is not the same. For women are the child bearers. And women are in truth a more fragile vessel. Ancient culture has wisdom why women are held more strictly to their vows in marriage they're not just the ancients being "backward", if anything it's "modern" society that's degenerating.
Though if she was unhappy with her marriage and with her husband's affairs.. she could've asked for a divorce. And then go off in freedom with Owen. Though it may not necessarily be the same, a lot of what drives affairs / romance are within the "context". Outside of it being an illicit affair / romance.. Will the frisson of excitement for each other still be there? Or will it just fade away.. And it'll just eventually turn into a sham marriage just like her's and Nucky's was?

I just finished season 2 and I was so captured by their growing romance that I had to search to see if there was a montage.
I knew this romance would be short lived with Thompson turning into a full gangsta. I would haven enjoyed watching them together for many more seasons.
I know. Even though Margaret ends up rich at the end of the series, I would have loved to see her being able to marry Owen at the end, considering it ends with her becoming a widow again. It would have been great to have Owen alive and knowing they could finally be a family together.

Why did Owen went on a one man mission to kill Masseria anyway, esp. since he wanted to leave with Margaret asap? Couldn't they find find a more believable way to kill off his character?

Omg, I'm SOBBING. (ok, not literally, but I totally could!) This is such a BEAUTIFUL love story!!! This could seriously rival The Notebook. I love it. And I can't believe he DIES!!! *dies* I was so waiting for that box scene, b/c I KNOW it's in there & I needed the end to the story!!! lol. But this is good too, b/c of the opening and ending scenes with the same lines of dialogue. ;)

I have this feeling she would have eventually been unhappy with Owen in some way and it wouldn't have been the happily ever after that people like to think it would have been. Their relationship would have flamed out after a few years or likely Owen would have ended up dead trying to provide Margaret the lifestyle she wanted.

Thank you so much! lol To answer your question, I actually did not plan for the vid to come off that way w/ that quote when I put it together actually lol That was just something that happened by accident. The scene was a long one so I cut to Owen's little confession to her & for the sake of length I cut Margaret's response to it which was a "Well go join Katy"-like statement when she had told him to go look for Nucky. But I do see how there could have been an implied double meaning. :)

I have a question - it's been awhile since I watched S2. What does Owen mean when he says "I thought you wanted me after Mr. Thompson?" Does he mean that Margaret was going to end things with Nucky to be with him? Or does he mean that she wanted to be with him that night, after dealing with Nucky? Or something else entirely?
I don't remember the build up to that scene at all, if you could remind me of the context I'd really appreciate it :)

I haven't watched this series, because I wasn't sure if it was very good. After watching this, I think I'm going to give it a try!
I think it is a good show, but it can be slow paced, which isn't everyone's cup of tea. The acting is good and I think the scripts are pretty strong.
Nucky would have been better off has he stayed with Lucy. The juice wasnt worth the squeeze with Margaret. 😂😂😂

Why the background cheesy music?
I loved this story, but after his death she has an abortion. I would think she would want some part of him a living part of him with her. Makes me think she didn't love him the way he loved her. But this video is so beautiful i must watch seasons 2 & 3 again

Her character hurt the show, dragged it down the drain.. she was always so self righteous but wanted the spoils of all that took place, but acted like she was a saint.. plus her acting was just horrendous, she always looked like she was about to cry in every scene, always with that look of worry.. her and Nuckys first girlfriend were both atrocious as actors.. plus she didn't add anything to the show at all.. man, it's a chore to get through her scenes..
Above Beyond um is there a reason you picked my vid to hate on her character? Don't like her or him, don't watch. Simple as that.

Never believe her when she says "this is the reason" or "that is the reason" - The reason is she never actually loved you. She despised Nucky because of murders and crime? but lived Owen DESPITE murders and crime? See, the Murders were never the issue, she just didn't love Nucky, that was the issue, She loves YOU?? there's no end, no limit to the things she'd overlook, to keep you, just like she does for that other guy.
