Wayne Shorter is a genius of composition and jazz legend. Love his music. I remember this accident but his amazing interpretation of death is truly enlightening and mind-blowing at the same time. RIP Ana Maria and Dalila. Hope you are having great Italian food in Heaven.

Dalila Lucien would be almost 40 years old in 2017. She was 18 when she died.

Segundo o Ronaldo Boscoli, foi a Ana Maria Shorter quem apresentou a cocaína para Elis, que à época estava nos EUA prestes a gravar um disco com o Wayne, o que infelizmente não ocorreu. Há vários relatos sobre por que esse projeto não ocorreu. Pelo menos ele gravou maravilhas e estreitou amizade com o grandioso Milton Nascimento, um dos compositores mais próximos de Elis. E a afirmação dele neste vídeo é marcante e sábia: a morte como um animal insaciável e, justamente por ser insaciável, não é o fim.

Obrigado por seu comentário. No livro "Furacão Elis" de Regina Eschevaria, há alguma discussão sobre esse período. Já se passaram alguns anos desde que li o livro, mas, pelo que me lembro, Elis se encontrou pela primeira vez com Wayne Shorter e Herbie Hancock em Los Angeles em 1979-1980 e esse foi o começo de uma discussão sobre fazer uma gravação juntos. Depois disso, Wayne Shorter viajou ao Brasil para gravar com Elis e Cesar Camargo Mariano e seu grupo em São Paulo. Infelizmente, o projeto foi um desastre e nunca foi concluído. Em relação à cocaína, tudo era possível naquela época, principalmente nos Estados Unidos, onde era a droga de escolha de muitos músicos nas décadas de 1970 e 1980.
