      as a matter of fact I run my ecommerce food business from my own commercial kitchen from my basement we are fully licensed inspected USDA and insured and have done over 1.2 million in sales online from our basement and then there is ALL the TAX benefits of a home based food business. I believe you can the USDA which is in every state needs to have a "separate kitchen" and 3 sinks a mop sink, 3 compartment sink, and hand washing sink and you should be good to go. contact the local branch of USDA where you live they have offices all over U.S.

      yes when you have a food truck it can only in many states be the "server" of the food not the are for prep unfortunately
