I had a 2019 model of this exact car. Absolutely loved it for its economy and easy-to-shift manual transmission, but had to trade for something bigger as it didn't fit my personal needs :(
Were you in 6th gear when you were on the freeway? I’m curious as to how low the RPM’s are when at higher speeds as my commute is all freeway. Nice review and nice car! I was highly impressed with this and the rest of the Kia lineup at the last Detroit auto show I attended.
I have one. When you're at about 65 mph, the rpm needle is at 3000 rpm. At 66 mph or more, you will need to shift to 6th gear so that the needle goes back down to about 2500 rpm.
Black Shark Thank you! I’m definitely going to look at one of these for my next vehicle. I also like the Rio hatchback, but that new CVT I am leery about.
@@bigbean78 I would remain with a manual transmission. They last much longer and alot less hassle should you ever need to work on it years in the future.
Black Shark I thought about going for an 18 or 19 Rio because they used the 6 speed auto and manual was still an option. Sadly many of the used ones with the auto on the market were once rental cars...
@@bigbean78 ooooh.. Noooo. I would definitely stay away from rental cars. Many people drive them like crap, hard brakes them, and pours the cheapest crappiest fuel ⛽ into their tank, etc. Those cars, unfortunately, are disposable..........
Evening, I also have a kia forte/cerato. I payed 20,000 for my forte but I still have to fold the mirrors in manually which is kinda dissapointing but it has other amazing features. Only the GT-Line and the trim right below the GT-Line offer automatic folding mirrors when locking or unlocking the car or right above the window/control panel on the drivers side. But it is quite easy to fold the mirrors manually as it doesn’t require much pressure to do so. Hope this helped ya.
@@erikmireles5879 I think it's fun to do. I'm sure auto rev match would do it perfect every time. The DCT has a a manual mode that probably has to do rev matching because of only two pedals. That's probably what he was talking about.

Does this model trim have Auto rev match?
I have one and it does not
@@AffyisAffy is that good or bad? Gotta blip it instead?
@@erikmireles5879 yep, it needs a blip when downshifting

Can barely hear you...turn up the audio.
great video, grade A
This or Subaru Impreza sport? (W/manual)
Personally, I would go with the Impreza Sport, but drive both as they are very different experiences, so it really is about personal preference.
@@Carguy1999Reviews didn't realize you replied, thanks for the input. I bought a kia forte but need the AWD, definitely looks like a sick car
This or base model Jetta (w/ manual trans)?
Good question. They are very similar experiences, but I would go with the Forte personally
@@Carguy1999Reviews Thanks for the input👍
Jetta manual is rev hang central. Only go auto with the Jetta.
when the chevy trailblazer comes out will you review it?
Absolutely! Once we get one into inventory I will make sure to film it
