Haptic technology is all about the sense of touch. Using haptic technology it is possible to simulate virtual objects that can be touched.

@@yt_zzbig77-_-38 Me too lol, this has nothing to do with ps5 haptic actuators. Controller has 2 motors like old ones just that they are actuators so it will make a huge diference. Combined with resistance triggers it makes the controller very special. But like ps4 controller (trackpad, speaker) I dont think there will be many games using 100% those new features because of developers should code the games separately for ps5

So in other terms, whenever smartphone screen haptic feedback is ready (it is, but when are those billion dollars scum corporations going to integrate is another question), this is will be the first generation of haptic interaction in trackpads, tablets and smartphones.
But the future is for VR to be accompanied by some bracelet (because nobody is ever going to wear gloves) that can integrate this ultra-haptic technology once the transducers are reduced to the sizes of transistors, therefor anywhere our hands move toward a virtual object or interface, the bracelet will "project" ultra-haptic sensation to the hand relevant to position of virtual objects.
Good, I give it about 15-20 years before it's there, around the same time VR glasses will replace headset if they do pick-up now.
