    ➡️Ancient History:
When we the Garos were migrating from Tibet, they first rested on that place beside Brahmaputra river but then they couldn't stay there any longer as the King of Assam heard that uknown people making shelter on his land. So, the King sent his soldiers to convince to leave the place but they refused. Later King himself came to that place to see if it's true and yet he saw them living on his land😊.
King got attracted to one of the beautiful garo lady whose name was Jugi Silchi, he wanted her at any costs and even asked Garo leaders to give him.The King promised to give them the banana trees/stems in return so that garos be able to cross the river making small boats from it but the Garo leaders refused to give him the garo lady. For King keeps on begging the lady, Garos hid the lady 'Jugi Silchi' inside the cave and the battle began between them, Garos and the Assam soldiers. They had to fight against each other for their life.
As the war was going on between two groups, the Garos couldn't look after the lady they hid inside the cave. So, the lady had to die inside the cave without meeting anyone of her relatives, no one to say last goodbye. Jugi took her last breath when no one were around her.
After she died, the garos finally agreed to exchange one of the lady with the banana stems so they can make boats and cross the river. Then they crossed the Brahmaputra river and inhabited somewhere in Goalpara District and then to Garo Hills.
